it is very hard to establish a photography business these days..many of the well established ones are even struggling ..people use cell phones and consider themselves photographers..try working for someone else for a while..you should not have posted a photo with the question you posed..it isn't a very good example of any type of photography..i have been doing photography for well over 30 years and i do occasional freelance work ..i wouldn't even consider the expense of setting up a business..of course I'm retired and the few dollars i make helps but it is definitely an income i would rely on..why not learn how to do professional work by working for a studio first ..then you can see if you have the right stuff to make it in a very competitive field..

leave it at the nearest hotel in their safe ..then drive to your hiking location..there is no way i would leave any gear in a car ..hidden or not i always say my car has insurance for theft but try proving your camera gear was in there..besides would you want to lose your memory cards etc along with it..

all the answers were good ..and to be honest there is no way either one is suitable for where you will be sitting...you definitely need a much longer range..i opt for the 70-200mm but since you don't have that then i would cover my bases and bring both of the ones you have..

i have never had a problem with b and h ..i don't care that they are closed for their religious holidays..yeah it could be a pain once in a while because of murphy's law ...but what is the big inconvenience anyway? they are open often enough for you to purchase whatever you want when you want....their service is outstanding...their prices are reasonable..they are always helpful in store or on the phone..even the other store Adorama has the same days off ..... what is the major issue you seem to have when they are closed??? you can always go to a local camera store in a pinch..there is amazon..there is eBay...we live in a country full of other options..and you have a problem with a store because they are closed on their religious holidays..??? and shipping.???what?..isn't it possible that the carrier could be at fault..poor service..?? there are jerks in EVERY company..hang up and call again..chances are you will get someone else that is helpful and great at their job..unless you have been in that store personally like I have you have absolutely no idea what a tremendous place that is..with hundreds of workers ..it runs like a swiss watch..i have never ever had a salesperson there that hasn't been extremely helpful in every way possible..

i would certainly be curious as to why someone would be taking a photo of my house...not sure if i would approach him/her about it ..yes people should be wary but not highly paranoid about stuff like this however there are a lot of nuts out there too..could be casing the house..could be a private investigator..whatever .i am a photographer too and sometimes i see a really nice flower or bird on someones property and want to take the photo..that's when i worry that someone inside may come out with a baseball bat and sling it at me..so paranoia runs both ways sometimes...lol..just be careful that's all..

B&H did this, B&H did that.

I doubt that B&H managers got together and said let's risk our reputation by hiding that this 'open box' camera is grey market. Hey, I'll bet we could get away with this often enough that we could add a few thousand dollars to our multi million dollar bottom line.

Really????

More likely some clerk who typed up the information made a mistake. I know it is rare for folks on this site to ever make a mistake, but in the outside world it does happen. Let's crucify them all or burn them at the stake!

lol ..i totally agree..for every one customer that a mistake is made there are thousands that have had great service and quality from b and h...every buyer should check their products..from any store ..

MT The add also shows "Limited 1-Year B&H Warranty " which should have been a signal that this is not a USA model, otherwise Nikon would have covered it under their warranty.

you know i just realized this...nikon gives a one year warranty also..so ..if B and H is giving a one year warranty then at least they will repair it..when i brought my cameras into the nikon manufacturer in new york for a simple cleaning ..not only did they charge way more than my local camera store..they shipped it out and it took a month ..i was rather annoyed ..they seem to only be working on full frame cameras now and i wouldn't doubt that even that will become a thing of the past..shame on nikon..i used to swear by them..but getting back to b and h...at least if you do see that the purchase is not to your satisfaction then they simply email you a return label that easily lets you ship the item back...

I did a Search on B&H for "gray market Nikon D750," and found this.

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1082599-REG/nikon_d750_dslr_camera_body.html

Then I did a Search for Nikon D750 -

i didn't see anywhere where it would say gray market..i do hope that any of the camera bodies i have purchased are USA warrantied....I'm going to have to check them all ..as far as i do know the first three were fine since I've already had them cleaned by the nikon manufacturer before ..

wow I'm totally surprised about this since they have always been up front about grey market products..why not just return it ..and speak to one of their representatives...it's possible this particular item fell through the cracks...and the person shipping it didn't spot the error ..check it out..I'm sure they will help resolve this ..

i have floaters in my eyes also and they bother me at times ..i worry about losing my sight as well since i also deal with acute narrow lens glaucoma..i love photography and am retired doing an occasional freelance job..what i was wondering is if it is at all possible to hold on to a minimum amount of your equipment and take photos for your own pleasure..sell the extra items for a bit of cash..then using automatic focus with a high amount of focal points just go out there and try again to take photos..to me just the sheer pleasure of getting that one shot a day in even makes me happy..don't give up just yet..find a doctor that can help save your eyes...there are so many options but selling everything just may seem too drastic at this time and you may find yourself spending money down the line that you may regret...good luck..

personally i found that after comparing the two cameras (the d750 and the d810) i felt for the bit of extra money i went for the d810 ..i loved it from the moment i started to use it..not only does it have more megapixels ..i love the fact that i can take photos in relatively dark conditions and not use my flash..the only drawback is that it has the two different memory card slots..but since i hardly ever go into the second card it doesn't bother me as much and the flash drive slot fine for a backup since i have several of them anyway..i didnt like the screen on the d750..some folks like that it can be swiveled..i feel it is just one more thing that can break or get dust behind..i never use the screen view anyway ..always the eyepiece..so that is just my opinion ..and it makes me happy..you need to feel happy with whatever you choose...
