i looked there they have batterys, but the magic word is
COMPATIBLE for canon or made for canon, thats means THIRD PARTY not made by canon...

its your camera, not mind......

Canon's rule if you use a non canon battery, your warranty is gone....

If you have 1 left I would like to buy it. I can pay through paypal also...

I'm looking for a battery grip for a Nikon D70, not a D70s. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Search on e-bay. I have bought 2 from a seller in Hong Kong and both are actual Canon Grips. They also came with the aa battery tray which can be handy if your batteries die while away. I also bought extra batteries and the chargers have cigarette lighter adapters for them...Also I save about $500.00 buying them from there and I have not had any problems with either one...

OK, I sort of understand. But the first two responses so far are from people who DO want to learn. Believe me, there are those who don't!

If you're dissatisfied with your pics, then of course it makes sense to try to find out how to get them closer to your personal vision.

But when I'm doing a critique, I try to say, "What were you trying to achieve here?" Then, based on what they say, I'll try to suggest as many ways as I can think of, to help them get closer to what they want.

It's the people who reject any suggestions that freak me, especially if they then say, "I don't care what anyone else thinks". If they really didn't care, they'd not ask anyone else's opinion.

Cheers,

Mr. Hicks
i know EXACTLY what you mean. I have a friend who used to ask for my help when he had a problem with his truck,(my dad was an ASE certified master mechanic and taught me a lot about vehicles before he passed away). He kept having the same problem and would ask me and others what was wrong, then he would do what everyone else said to do. After about 3 years and spending $3500.00 chasing the problem he sold it to a guy he worked with. Last summer his friend drove the truck to a cookout and when my friend asked if it was fixed he said yes...A wiring harness had a short and it cost less than $50.00 from a junk yard!!! 3 years I tried to tell him this...Some people just don't listen..

It's quite simple, when you really know how to make important decisions:
Canon begins with "C", the third letter in the alphabet.
Nikon begins with "N", the fourteenth letter.
Three is an odd number, fourteen is even.
You have 2 hands, 2 legs, 2 eyes, 2 ears; all even numbers.
So, the clear choice is NIKON, yay!

AHHHHhh..That explains why I use/like Canon...Being an odd one that is!!!

Fellow Hedgehogs:

I’m very close to buying my first DSLR – the Canon 60D. I have a couple of questions about lenses. First, I thought I would go for a two lens solution originally suggested to me by JimH: a 18-55 mm and a 55-250 mm. But when I put the 18-55 in my cart at B&H, a message is displayed that says “Only fits on the EOS Digital Rebel series or 50D, 40D, 30D & 20D SLR cameras”. So it seems that this lens is not compatible with the Canon 60D? If that’s true, can someone suggest another comparable lens, i.e. same or similar focal range and not pricey, that is compatible with the 60D?

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/519475-GREY/Canon_2042B002_EF_S_18_55mm_f_3_5_5_6_IS.html

Second, the issue of imported vs. USA, i.e., the grey market. I understand, again from JimH (Da Man!) in a post on 9/15/11, that the only issue with buying grey market items could be that if you have to send the item back to the vendor that guaranteed it for warranty work, the vendor in turn might send it to Japan for service. So perhaps a longer turnaround time on the repair? To me, that seems like a minor issue, especially for a low end lens. I wouldn’t buy an imported 60D body, for example, but I don’t see any reason not to take advantage of the savings on economically priced lenses. Anyone disagree?

Thanks, hogs! :-]

I recently purchased the T3i from QVC. It comes with both lenses you mentioned. The 18-55 IS & the 55-250 IS. I was looking at the 60d and the T3i. I choose the T3i mainly because of the vari angle LCD screen. I felt this would be an advantage at crowded venues like parades where I might need to hold the camera above the crowd to get the shot. II also shoots 1080p HD video. QVC currently has it on sale for 999.00 + S&H...$172.00 a month for six months. I also bought 2 lenses off craigslist a 28-135 IS & the "nifty fifty"1.8. I also bought a canon battery grip from e-bay. Hope this helps you.

Beginners may find this very basic primer I put together on lenses, apertures, shutter speed and ISO helpful.
