Do you mean the 2017 eclipse? August 21 and you can see it from south of Portland, Wyoming, down through Columbia, SC. First eclipse to transverse the entire US continent since 1918. See eclipse2017.org

Tangier Island, VA, often called the "Soft Shell Capital of the World"

Actually, you can take a ferry from Reedville (near Tappahannock) off rt 360 over to Tangier as well. Best line I heard on our trip over was the ferry Captain stating there was no jail on the island. He asked an elder why not and he said, "Because we don't have any Baptists!". It is a memorable trip and really is a disappearing life style, so make it a day whenever you can. Love the pictures. They capture the place extremely well.
