If you knew the song, it'd be easier (a chirp or trill). There are two other possibilities in CA as well, but O. quadripunctatus is green with four antennal spots. Yes I do live 10 miles form the beach and he got blown in by the strong SE winds we just had.
Have not seen or heard them before yesterday.
He is a green w/ a hint of tan on a greenish-blue wall in the bright sunlight, no flash. The colors are washed out because of the Setting Sun. I do not see 4 anteni.
