I caught up with the Minister of Mayhem while he was relaxing over the holiday break. He seemed quite personable and even friendly, something one quickly learns not to expect from a Kitty Council high official.

He grinned, but would not comment when asked about rumors of another invasion. But he went so far as to briefly outline a few of his goals for the upcoming year, among which were plans to have the Dog Star renamed, calling it '...outrageous, discriminatory, and an affront to the entire feline species.'

Really nice portrait TreePusher. I also like the tighter head shot of MInister of Mayhem in an earlier post.
It reminds us of our departed Cinnamon.

It either makes sense or not. Nothing to do with the authors name.

You need another BA = Bull Shit degree to figure it all out. BOZO.

BA = Bull Shit???
Please explain how that acronym, BA, equals Bull Shit???

I didn't attack you. I was telling someone else why I would no longer be responding to their posts and you jumped in the middle supposedly defending your honor which hadn't been attacked and wasn't at risk until you involved yourself.
Your religion is none of my business but you don't seem like an ambassador for it. What exactly does my being an atheist have to do with anything?

Hi Thom,
Just to bring you up to dated, Steve is the perfect representative of the Judeo, Christian or Muslim belief systems.
Any time someone is not completely subservient to their Dogma or has a slightly different belief within that system it's all about the Spanish Inquisition or the Salem Witch Trials.
They would burn you, Donna and me on a cross as witches given the chance.

My karma ran over my dogma.

Twentieth-century American academic and aphorist Mason Cooley concisely observed that “Under attack, sentiments harden into dogma,” suggesting that dogma is spawned as a defensive act. This idea implies that for every dogma that exists, there is a counter dogma. With so many “truths” out there, there is sure to be a dogma to conveniently fit every set of beliefs. In other words every dogma began as a fictional belief until enough followers deem it a reality.

That is total gibberish. I can't figure out at all what you're trying to converse here. Well a screen name like 'Batman' it makes perfect sense.

Donna this BOZO just called you a slime ball. Does he know you personally?
BTW: I still have my steel toe Engineer boots. Not much use in a tropical climate but great to kick the ass of a libtard upstart. Specifically a libtard hiding behind women.

For all the illiterate conservatives on this Post here are the real Jackboots and the Nazi that they represent.
Again, incorrect grammar, disjointed, make believe words and misspellings. Sorry I made a mistake it is perfect Hillbilly speak.

It's very interesting that you would think this rant is written with correct grammar.
When in fact it is a very disjointed, formless, incomplete, incorrectly punctuated and misspelled
jumble of words. It is no wonder you would think my writings would be incorrect.
I am very sorry I do not write or speak Hillbilly.

Thanks to all for the encouragement. I will have a ton to learn.
My goal is to learn something new about the camera each week and to take a picture of something interesting each day of 2015.

It doesn't take too much to interest me. Just about anything in the outdoors is worthy of a shot and my old lab is a constant companion and model.

Those are reasonable goals you have set for yourself. Follow thru.
Good luck and a good year.

I have seen several methods mentioned as to how to go about darkening the sky. This example was taken in a fairly dark spot on Oct 13, 2014, but you can see some brightness in the sky to the lower right which is the direction of Morgan Hill, CA.

The camera was a Sony A99 using a Tamron 24-70 F2.8 lens and the shot was at 24mm and at F2.8. ISO was 3200 and the shot was for just 15 sec which caused the sky to be about as bright as I was will to allow it.

The picture started in Lightroom, but was immediately used to call NIK Vivenza 2. Control points were set in dark spots and it was used to darken the sky. I stopped at the point shown since I wanted to still see the tree tops. Then back to Lightroom for some finishing touches since as a bit of noise reduction and some clarity adjust.

Yes, Samuel Butler, the famous gay writer of the 1800's who wrote "Darwin among the Machines." Which I'm sure everyone here has read.
Are you kidding. His son Thomas says of him. "to make up for having been a servile son, became a bullying father." Just the man I want to quote from.
