Thanks for your reply. That helps me understand it all a bit better.
There have been some pics that have not made it... both to the Picture Gallery and to the Photo Contest.
But I'll keep at it.

I'm frustrated. One of two things seems to always happen.
1) My posting never gets posted anywhere.
2) It shows up on Upcoming Topics... for maybe an hour... then is gone.
Obviously I'm doing something wrong. But I've read the guidelines many times... but it's still not working.
Please... help if you can.
Thanks
Barry

There has been some trouble posting pics. This time it worked. Other times... no. Sorry for the duplication.

Thanks for the replies. I've been having trouble posting pics to the Photo Gallery. Some have never made it. I guess this did. I don't know what the SNAFU is. But sorry for the duplication.

Suddenly... for no apparent reason this past week... I cannot view UHH on my iPhone. I click the proper link... the page comes up... but I can do nothing with it... and 5 - 10 second later it shuts itself down. It works perfectly on my Mac and on my iPad... but not on my phone.
Nothing else on the phone has that problem. I've checked 'settings' and see nothing that might be causing it.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

some 30 years ago, I photographed a lot od jewelry pieces for my wife's lecture. They were all slides. No matter how careful I was... dust so frequently showed up on the background. Dust that I sure didn't see when shooting. What a problem! Today with digital photography... redoing is easy.
Be careful of what's on the background!!
High G on on a little E-flat clarinet.
Thanks for all your thoughts. I got my pic posted for the WOOD competition... Troll...and it's fine.
One less thing to learn.

So how can I be sure the EXIF Data is in my jpeg image on my desktop having exported it from Lightroom?
I want to enter the photo contest. How do I know if myjpeg image (exported from Lightroom toy desktop) has the proper EXIF Data in order to be in compliance with the rules.
Thanks for your help.

Very nice. Less than a week ago I saw this Trumpet Creeper (for the first time) a half-block from my home in Carrboro. Though I didn't know what it was called. I took some pics and put them on my website... barrypictures.com ... I'd put one here in this reply... but don't know how to reply with a pic. I've been admiring your work. Please look at mine.
I was a professional trumpet player before retiring 20 yrs. ago. I should have recognized a trumpet!

What I remember most about the GoonieBird was all the hours the 684th AF Band (Waco...in the 50s) flew around Texas to play here and there. There were two rows of seats on each side... and the bass drum lay in the center for the poker table. And the landings were always wild... a dive and a last-second leveling off. Not like the airlines!
