Hi all.
Bought a D600 a about three weeks ago and after taking 10 photos os so, I checked to sensor and found black spots. They were not dust so returned for cleaning to the store, but after another 20 or 30 photos the black spots are there again.

How about sending it to Nikon, since the spots keep coming back?

Thats what I'm going to do, bu not very optimist because I phoned and they said it's not a factory issue.

Looked on internet and found out that many D600's have the senso oil issue.
Now I'm in trouble because here there is non return or refund policy. So what can I do? Jst clean the sensor all the tie and hope the problem wiull disappear or what?
Has anybody else have this problem here?

Thanks for you help.

Sorry to hear of the issues you are experiencing with the D600, I have read on this forum of other D600 owners having similar issues. Italy is one of my favorite countries and so I look forward to your posting of photos from there! Welcome to the Hog! ;) ;)

I just did a casual search and can't find anything on this issue on this forum. Can you point me in the right direction. I'm planning on getting one soon.

Also who sells $2,100 camera and dosen't have a 30 day return policy. We have a 30 day no questions asked money back policy on anything with receipt and original packaging. So does B&H and Adorama and pretty much any legit camera store. Feel bad that where you bought it won't offer refund or to handle replacement of the sensor. Did you get it online? If it was through an authorized Nikon dealer then you may be able to contact Nikon and get the name of the stores Nikon Rep, they all have one.

Good luck, gotta be covered by warranty, that camera has only been out in the US for 3 weeks

Contacted the store and they cleaned te senso but will not refund or replace the camera because here, in Italy, Nikon authorized importer does not recognize this issue as a factory fault.

That's very disappointing and has me re- thinking my decision to buy a D 600. I hope you're not giving up without a fight. At the very least I would copy and paste everything I could find about the issue, put in a document and sent to every Nikon name you can find. I am going to ask our rep about it.

This is insane the more I think about it. They cleans you sensor. You shoot a blank wall and there are still spots. How do they explain that this is ok. If the camera doesn't perform as specified they have to stand behind it. They may claim oil is not the issue but spots, really. I would get it sent back to Nikon repair and ask that it be returned when the spots are gone.

The problem is that when they clean the sensor the spots disappear and reappear after shooting about 30-50 shots in my case. With others I don't know.

Thanks. I'll post something as soon as I can get a workable camera.

Maybe I'll give it in for a D700.

Hello to all.
I've been reading you for a while and now decided to just jump in.

I'm not new to photography but new to FF (Nikon D600) and may have some questions. Sure this is the right place for information and tips.

Excuse my English.

Barbaro
