This is actually a two part question/comment.
One: is anyone a recent purchaser of Apple's (latest version) Aperture and are you pleased with the program ? Any tips etc. I currently use iPhoto.
Two: I have noticed that for many topics in UHH, some replies invariably point the IP to use the "Search" feature here. This reply regularly baffles me because the search feature produces page after page of generic questions under generic titles... in this case Aperture. If the title is simply one word, how is the questioner to know if it addresses his concern without scrolling through 2 or 3 years of prior posts ? Am I missing something ?
As always, thanks for the replies.

The second part of your question is something that I have tried my best figure out. I'm still waiting for a logical response. I did my best to get some information on types of tripods and heads. I would have had better luck finishing "War and Peace".

Good Luck,
George

I'm new here so please bear with me. How do you know how many actuation's are on the camera? How can one garner this information from a photo? As I have read this thread the first thing that pops into my feeble mind is where is the expiration printed on the camera? Sorry if this seems idiotic but I'm rather curious.

Regards,
George

Have you tried youtube? You can google "camera sensor cleaning" and get enough hits to take up a couple of hours..I'm fortunate there are a lot of places in the Atlanta area that do this service.
Best of luck,
George

Monopods are allowed if you use it wisely I think most people here know why tripods are frowned upon..

I have the Slik S205 tripod and the Giottos MV8250and monopod
Two separate mounting systems so a universal mount was needed...that is why I have this UN system. Also just bought a Redbed tripod so now I have nothing standardized...I'm Irish..

Now to find a backpack for my t2i and sx50hs..I would hate to order one and it not work the way I expect it to....I'm Irish..

It's British term used very wrongly. It should have been "suss it out"..Something I picked up from the lads I worked with at Gatwick Airport.

George,

KEH is the best company on the internet to deal with when it comes to strictly used or refurbished equipment, they do not sell new. When it comes to used or refurbished equipment there are only three companies most of consider dealing with. They are Adorama, B&H and KEH not listed in any particular order, the first two also sell new. Links to them are below.

Also, The Tamron SP 70-300 LD IF VR is a very well reviewed lens and I have used one and can recommend it. Try KEH atlanta for used or refurbes.

From what I see you don't need a camera with all the bells and whistles. That General Electric did you proud. Great shots..
