Hello, came across this site when researching DSLR, I used to enjoy going out with my old 35mm a few years back then family life kinda bled the bank account so developing costs were low on the list for a while.

I then I blew the cobwebs off it a couple years back and realised I wanted to start into the photography again, bought a bridging camera Panasonic FZ-50 and was very happy with it until a few weeks back when between the lag of the electronic viewfinder and my catlike reactions :wink: :oops: missed a bucket load of action shots with the most recent addition to the family, decided then I was going to bite the bullet and invest in an entry level DSLR with the Pentax K-r.

So far not done too much with it in itself just getting used to the feel of it and features, also sorting out quite a few months worth of photos on the computer. I've not really taken to the post processing side of the digital world .......... yet, other than the odd crop really but sure as I get going again I will be looking at this more.

As for what I am really looking to try out not so sure yet, like the idea of landscape shots and macro, peace and quiet, but will probably be mainly family shots for a while but will be looking ot try new things, anyway a couple of previous pictures and looking forward to picking up a few more tips on here.
