There is a real danger in rushing to take sides relative to the violent Trump protests. During the Oregon standoff, communications were discovered that ISIS was encouraging similar activities at other Federal facilities across America. The Trump protests are the exact form of divisiveness that is encouraged and conspired by ISIS. I suggest that what we're seeing is not just US politics and we need to closely watch what's happening and who is involved. This is a time to stop and think about the larger threat.

At one time, Goodyear had one of their blimps tied up in Oakland, California and I had an opportunity to take a ride in it. The (really noisy) experience included a top-down view of the city of San Francisco. It was pretty exciting looking down at the top of the spire on top of the Transamerica Building as we went over it. At one point the pilot asked if I would like to sit in the Pilot's seat and operate the controls. One interesting feature of the early 80's blimps was the control for tipping the blimp up and down. It was like a ship's wheel and was mounted to the right of the Pilot's seat. You could really make a notable change in the blimps attitude. After the ride I was presented with a card commemorating my experience in the Pilot's seat. Great fun.
