I am got going to become embroiled in the guns argument, but wherever we want to go, that journey always starts with a first small step. If we don't take that first step we never get anywhere.

The first step and many after it has already been taken and where has it got us, less personal freedom as to the way we have of personal protection.

If something is stolen from us the only thing the police care about is what the items cost so they can enter it into their records in order to get a bigger budget next year. They advise if you see it in a pawn shop or flea market let them know. What - we're supposed to do their job for them!

If you are injured by assault, robbery or home invasion the police help is always after the action. How does that help? very often the offenders are released (if ever captured) under bond and go out and rob or steal again often in order to pay their lawyers.

WE the injured parties have to live with the results and injuries that usually last a life time.

The removal of our weapons whether they be guns, knives or clubs will not alleviate the personal lost we will have to live with in the future because weapons can and will be found by anyone wanting to do harm to others.

The only answer I have is to teach our children very early in their life before they learn from others the wrong ways, but removing our weapons will only allow it to be worse in the future so beware what you ask for, you may very will get it!!!!!

A Wish to Live Forever

I met a fairy the other day and she said she would grant me one wish.

"I want to live forever," I said.

"Sorry," said the fairy, "I'm not allowed to grant that particular wish."

"Fine," I said, "then I want to die the day after Congress gets their heads out of their asses!"

"You crafty bastard," said the fairy.

I got a call that a magazine, Voice of Health, which is a chiropractic magazine, is going to publish one of my photos!
And they are sending me some complimentary magazines and paying me $25.00! Not much, but to me it just doesn't matter!
I'm thrilled!
Sue

Explain Snow rolls please we barely get enough for round ball snowmen here.

Thanks, DePratt

Well, I would suggest you Google if you can do that. Will be a better explanation than I can give. As I understand conditions must be just right, then the wind will start a bit of snow moving or rolling and then it just keeps
Getting larger. Have only had it the one time here in our area, and when we saw the rolls in the park we assumed kids were making them, but realized way too many. These snow men were made by my wife from rolls in our lawn. Extremely cold at the time she made them, but she stacked different sizes.
Google if you can.

How many of you folks remember the small black&white TV's

Also the 200 yard all weather night or day dash

If you have others add'em.

I will add another one of mine - Swimming in the farm pond/local creek or river along with the other critters in the water. I still have the scar from one of those times.
