Security cameras can zoom and change direction. As far as "shaky" that is unusual. Camera angle will tell you a lot. Most security cameras will be mounted high. Eye level shaky footage is not from fixed security cameras.

I worked tech support at a casino for about nine months. This was about 15 years ago and the security video was amazing back then.

The spot you remember at the east end of the bridge is just total traffic congestion now. The harbor is packed with booked fishing excursions type vessels sharing space with pontoon boats and wave-runners. Those are strictly for the bay of course. On a calm day you could take a pontoon boat into the Gulf but I wouldn't advise it. Getting through the breakwater just off the harbor can be rough. I prefer the bay myself. The Google Earth might be dated. It's probably worse than what you saw.So much for our little piece of paradise. Check out Google Earth and go east on 30A. There's some nice areas around Seaside.

Home remodeling has eaten up most of my spare time. I just dropped in to see what the idiot libs were babbling about lately. Destin came through fine. The storm path went East and mostly hit along Panama City to Apalachicola Bay. I'm heading down this weekend for a quick trip. Friday thru Sunday. A little maintenance and a structural inspection with my drone on one of the buildings.
