A buddy is looking for a simple good camera. Budget (he can do anything) 1000 bucks . Famiy type grandkids Birthday Christmas type. Decent video, some vacation scene stuff. So...some low light, with a zoom ....I have a few recommendations after research but...oh..no lens changing.....anyway. Without me telling you what mine would be, help me.

Thank you all. The ones I was thinking have been the most recommended.

(866) 481-2569 Will get you any part for a Canon camera if they still have it, that is Canon Parts and I really don't think that it is intended for the general public, I don't remember how I came across it but it has served me well!

Thanks.

I'm curious so a survey is in order.

Do you use the lock function on the SD memory and if so how do you use it? What for?

Why? Download. Delete card. How many cards can you afford?

We do get these birds in the winter, but sometimes they stay all year. This could be an early arrival for winter or one of our year rounders. The females aren’t as showy as the breeding males, but I love their beaks!

Great set!

Noel, these are excellent shots. I really enjoyed this visit. I envy how close you are to Black Point. I’m eagerly awaiting the return of fall/winter - cooler temps and lots of big birds!

Thanks Carol. Hope to see you again sometime this season.

Love your exposure settings on these. The Florida morning light is Heavenly for me and something I always enjoy seeing each day when I'm there.

Thank you. Was shooting manual. The cloudless sky help as the light didn't change a lot. Had to adjust Highlites and shadows in post.
