I had a similar issue a year or so ago. I ended up getting a second email address and creating a new account. It was easier than trying to jump through all of the invisible hoops FB puts up.

There is a great Bird ID app from Cornell University called Merlin. Load up a good picture from your cell phone and it will give you a positive ID.

I expected to see a complimentary colored after image. Instead my vision merged the colored and white images and showed a 3D version of the image. Now I can't unseen it.

Darktable has the ability to work with multiple white balances. See the links below for Bruce WIlliams´ discussion (2 parts to the video) on the Color Calibration Module...

Part 1: https://youtu.be/t7H1fr0PtHw
Part 2: https://youtu.be/gEqaS9fnbkQ

... and the white balance module.

Basically you set the white balance in the white balance module for the bulk of the photo. Then you use the Color Calibration Module to adjust masked areas of the pictures.

Great Joke!

I played the Tenor Sax in high school. I sat next to the Bari Sax guy in our jazz band. He was more than a little upset when I pushed his spit valve just after he finished a solo......

I have a D3400 which does everything I need it to. I wish the rear screen was articulated so I could shoot more easily at odd angles, but it works well in all other aspects.

I use Snapbridge only when I'm planning to put something on social media before I have time to work on the pictures. The camera control does not work over bluetooth so I haven't tried it.

I do, however, have a couple of Android apps that will remotely control the camera and use live livescreen remotely on the phone connected by MicroUSB to MicroUSB cable.

I have been using GIMP for three years now. There is a learning curve, but there are tutorials out there specifically to help PS users migrate to GIMP. Price is right, you can do most things in multiple ways. You can use it non-distructively or not. It is well supported and continuously improving. It is also extensible via plug-ins, brushes, etc.

Try it out. It costs nothing but some time. I recommend the tutorials by Davies Media Design, including his Udemy class on Photo Editing.

Good luck!

Thanks for tips. Guess I have to update both. The computer card is PCIe, does that make any difference?

I don't think so, other than you will need to keep that in mind when ordering.

If you plan to connect over WiFi you need to make sure that the wireless router and NIC are rated for either the 802.11ac or the newer 802.11ax standard. It should be listed on Amazon or on the box in a physical store.

How does one reach "The Management" to protest this provision and get it changed? Has anyone tried? I read, but don't have anything to post in this section, however, I feel I am now at a point where I can benefit from constructive criticism of my pictures and post production techniques. Unfortunately, this issue may prevent me from doing so.

Any ideas?
