We both are on the same page in regard to Nikon's incredible Swiss Army Knife the AF-S 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6 ED IF VR Nikkor. I would never have thought of putting this up for sale however I'm no longer able to accept location assignments. Limited to Studio only moving forward.

That said I've posted a correction of my previous statement that this lens might not be a good choice for BIF...

This Nikkor is ideal for portraiture; outdoor events i.e weddings etc., street & photojournalism.
It excels at Landscape genre and is considered one of the very best Travel Lenses available.

Possibly the most popular Hobbyist FX Nikkor produced in the past decade...
It's a joy to use, and having up to four stops of VR makes it easy to capture outstanding results.

However please realize it simply isn't optimal for indoor events/sports etc. (requires Speedlights in poor illumination)
Its relatively slow aperture compromises focus speed/accuracy in challenging lighting scenarios and diminishes it's usefulness for Wildlife Genre Imagery.

Best Advice? For those who may need to shoot commercially (a.k.a. consistent publication quality/highest resolution) there may be better (but pricier) options available from Nikon; Sigma; Tamron; and Tokina.
