A few from this last week.
Thanks for mentioning . Brain fart on my part. Have corrected.
2 Canon kit lens that I would like to sell together. $150 & I pay postage for contiguous 49 states.
1. 18-55mm f3.5 -5.6 IS lens (EF-s mount) w/ front & back caps
2. 55-250mm f4.6-5.6 IS STM lens(EF-s mount) w/ front & back caps, lens hood, UV & CP filters, original box & manual.
Both lens are in excellent condition. Canon made at least three versions of the 55-150mm. This is the 2nd version. I have used all three versions and this one delivered the sharpest images of the three, even the mk II. I preferred this lens over some costing three times as much. PM me if interested.
I am planning a trip to Park City, UT in late April or early May. I am looking for photo suggestions from anyone who may know the area so I don't spend most of my time stumbling about like a greenhorn & getting nothing. Since my window of opportunity is small I want to plan ahead & be as efficient as possible. My first thoughts are scenic & wildlife but I am open to any suggestions or unique ideas you may have. I should mention that I am 84 & a bit less mobile than I was a few years ago. Long hikes on dusty mountain trails are out. Thanks in advance for any ideas you can provide.
This young Hawk let me stay with him for about an hour this morning. Unfortunately he was not successful while giving it his best effort.
I wonder if it can whistle in 4 part harmony.
Like an old friend, a bit worn, a little rough around the edges, perhaps a bit slower to the touch but still hanging in there.
Set up a feed & water station where I can watch & sometimes photograph the birds this winter in my back yard. At my age I don't plan to go chasing after wildlife in the cold. Maybe I can get them to come to me. Here are some of the early arrivals.
This is a good little camera that I have used as my second when I wanted to take 2 cameras. It has a 24.2 Megapixel CMOS Sensor, a DIGIC 7 processor, 3.0 in. LCD screen, wi-fi, NFC, Bluetooth & will take up to 6 fps. Most of the same stuff as the big boys. A good camera, seldom used & in excellent condition. Included are 2 batteries, a charger, strap, manual, USB cable & original box.
Also for sale is a Canon 50mm f1.8 II lens. This is an older model but seldom used & in "like new" condition.
Will consider any REASONABLE offer.
Camera & lens $495
Camera alone $475
Lens $30
Like most of you my age, I've been there, done that & have the T-shirt. For 40 years of my life I was involved with the U.S. Army. First I was an enlisted man, then an NCO & later an officer. I retired after 20 plus years & thought that was the end of my association with the Army. A few years later I fell into a job at The (Then) Tank, Automotive Command in Warren, MI.(TACOM) as a civilian photographer. Over the course of the next twenty years I took pics of almost everything military you can think off.
One day I was ask to take a two to three hour overtime job at the nearby Tank Manufacturing Plant to photograph a VIP on a fact finding tour. No one knew who the VIP was. I was happy to get the overtime, grabbed my camera gear, lots of film & off I went. When I got there I found out the VIP was General Colin Powell who was just appointed Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. I have never been as impressed by one man in my life as I was by him in that two hours. He knew more about the process of making the M1 Tank than the plant execs. He treated everyone as an equal, never talked down the the employees, & asked intelligent to the point questions. Most VIP tours I covered were just photo ops & used to enhance the VIP's resume. This guy was all business. At the end he took enough time to thank me for being there. This man was a class act all the way.
Shot with my Canon 7D MK II & an f5.6 L 400mm at about 20 ft., ISO 1000, f5.6 & 1/250 sec. It is in shade 'til the leaves fall.

Put up a new backyard feeder & water stations for the birds for this winter. The first to show up where the
bluejays. They are beautiful & have a bit of attitude. Can't wait to see who comes in next.
of things to come. Taken last January.
Daily maintenance is important for everyone.
