Great photos of places I love, but I can't figure the color of the Colorado River from looking down from Dead Horse Point State Park,
I grew up in St. George, Utah with red sand in my shoes from hiking on the Red Hill. There have been red rocks and red sand in my heart ever since. Thank you for letting me see so much more of it!
Jim. i look forward to your postings and do so enjoy your rock art photos and the information you give us about them. They are always far over and above my meager collection that I've so eagerly photographed. You have just made my day. Thank you!
Your photos are a great reminder to me of my three trips to the top of Angel's Landing. The first time I was in high school. The second time, at age 63 I was alone in the Canyon and met a young woman on the trail that convinced me we should do it. The third time was at age 67 while hiking with my husband. For sure, we were the oldest people on the trail that day but we made it in good shape. I highly recommend that hike. 'It aint easy, but sure is fun!!!
Merlin and Shirley, I do appreciate your suggestions.
I thank all of you for your suggestions of help. I'll surely work on them.
Thank you OR pilot. I have made a small black and white photo of it with which I am satisfied, but I'am hoping to restore the color of this photo, enlarge it and give it to my daughter for her birthday. But if I don't get the color restored I will do a black and white print and it will be acceptable.
Is it possible to get back the true colors in this photo copied from a slide taken in about 1959. This is my youngest child who will soon be turning 65 years old. I do a little post-processing but don't have the knowledge or program to fix this problem.
I've never tried to put anything in this discussion area and don't see the photo I'm trying to put in, so if this shows up without the photo I'll just say that it has turned orange and I'd sure like to get it back to natural color if possible. Thanks for any help you can give.
Thank you. You answered it for me.
This structure does not appear to be old. Where is it?
What scares me is that they vote!

Farmington Bay is one of my favorite places to "shoot" birds, but I have to admit I've never been there, or any place else for fun, at that hour! You are an inspiration!
I have always had a great interest in, and respect for, these people who lived in and built these structures, as in your photos. Who knows, maybe I will get to meet some of them when I "leave here." For three years in the 1970's we had a teenage Shoshone foster daughter living with us. On our trips to the reservations in Southern Utah and Arizona, perhaps I should not have been surprised that what we saw was completely new to her. But then, she was from Nevada.
I love your photos and would love them even more if you gave them to us in download. PLEASE.
