I'd like to see the guy on the left.
So do you have a leica sitting around unused?
Very cool. I am surprised I haven't heard of it, Bridgewater is 15min from me.
Mark it would be great to meet you there someday soon...!!
Nice capture. And as far as the center of attention "pics or it did not happen" as i heard often in college ...
Yes , always good to have a camera at hand ...
[qtuote=suntouched]For DIY film developers at home, where do you dispose of the chemicals that you use?[/quote]
I dump em down the sink.
35mm focal length on 35mm film. Allows for enough of the fringe characters to be in an image (for me).
I had a chance to try a leica 28mm lens a few weeks ago ... that was incredible.
+1 on develop yourself. It's cheap. I'd you buy film in bulk rolls and roll your own cartridges it is even cheaper. You can get 18-20 rolls of film from a 100 foot roll, depending on film stock used that's as cheap as 2 bucks a roll. Chemicals I estimate another buck a roll. Ymmv.
I've shot dev and scanned 600+ exposures a month for the last 4 mos or so. And I can see how my skills have improved. Still a ways to go if course.
Plus i love the smell of fixer in the morning. :)
Nice capture. Looks like you did not get out of the car? I like the whitevdoor as a backdrop and the 4 Windows w bars. I'd usually compose this type of shot w more room to the left of photo but this works nicely , esp considering it being shot through the windshield.
I do love using those old cameras. The m3 just feels right ... no meter... no battery. It's probably due for a cla but still working nicely. Funny that i can't bring myself to load a roll of color film into it lol, all b&w...
Captured on a leica M3 circa 1957 w a 35mm voigtlander lens.
I like the shallow dof to highlight the blond in image 1
Uncertainty. As in, just being asked a difficult question ... or unsure whether or not to say what she is thinking ...
Shot on ilford hp5 at 1600, pushed 2 stops while developing.
