Not quite sure where you see the racism. There is enough not-so-subtle racism on this site so that you don't have to see it in every post.

richard-sports sees racism everywhere. Places that the rest of us can't see.

Guess which one of Richard's so-called "racists" said this.
Quote:
A sad day for South Africa. Nelson Mandella died today at the age of 95. He was a man who was able to overcome the horrors of apartheid and bridge the gap between black and white. He was truly a great man and it is indeed unfortunate that many of the leaders in other African countries, particularly in Zimbabwe, couldn't follow his example.
Just my thoughts as a former (4th generation) South African and now a US citizen since 1966.

Had you simply asked for sources I may have provided them, but in that you decided to spice your question with personal attacks (which is your style) I will simply tell you to research and read about the time involved. Nice talking to you. 8-)

Is richard-sports is even capable of posting without including a personal attack? All I have ever seen from him are content-free emotional outbursts. I have doubts that he could have a calm rational discussion of facts.

I would have bet a large amount of money that the racists on UHH would post here today as much BS as they could find about Mandela.
This site has so many racists. I am sure the Confederate flag flies in some of your households.

Are you a psychic or a bigot??? I will presume bigot since I don't believe in psychics.

Your accusations of racism are so predictable as the answer to everything everywhere that they have no meaning.

How about backing up these allegations with some proof? It's easy to just copy and paste crap you read on the internet machine; how about showing us that it is all true?

No comment on Nelson but Winnie's thuggery has been common knowledge for years and years to anyone paying attention to international news.

We all need to learn that there is at least 100 times more misinformation about the ACA and POTUS himself. With access to so many facts and fact checking sites at our fingertips we have no excuse to repeat the falsehoods. The right even beats up on fact checking sites even though Politifact has won the Pulitzer prize citing it's accuracy and honesty.

The POTUS himself has been a source of missinformation about the ACA.

Would you care to site that recent poll? The only poll of 1%ers of which I am aware in recent years was done by Northwestern University, and it showed that their #1 concern was the federal budget and deficit.

Actually I may have not been clear enough. The 1% that I am referring to is not the top 1% income bracket but a different 1% who consider the "gap between rich and poor" the most important problem facing the country. The rest of us would be 99%ers on this question if we think anything else is more important, including the unemployment rate or the deficit. The poll is at http://www.gallup.com/poll/1675/most-important-problem.aspx the part I referred to is shown below.

You are mistaken about the US. Look at the income inequality of the 1% vs the 99% and then look at how they got that money. By bribing Congress to screw the 99%.

Who is telling you this? By someone who started 2 companies, was a VP of sales of an international company, a graduate of a prestigious university and one who owned a home in the Hamptons on Long Island, Suffolk Co. A one who has been on both sides.

Knowing a few people at different income and wealth levels, I have found the wealthier ones that I actually know in my part of the country for the most part to be unpretentious and generous with their money. But then there are the wannabes that make low six figures, drive expensive German cars, live in a fancy house, and whine to their accountants about having to pay taxes "when Warren Buffet doesn't". I have found income level to be irrelevant to character or even envy. Some of the whiners about the "rich" make far more than I do and I'm doing okay. I'm just a 99%er.

You appear to be one of the 1%. The 1% in a recent poll that thought income inequality is the number one problem facing the country.

In Florida I went to church with a man who could not read or write. He could do remedial math and he was a multi millionaire....
He was one of the most generous persons I have ever met.. if you needed something and he saw that need, he met it... When My wife's Father died, our car was pretty much on its last legs and this man BOUGHT a new 1974 Pontiac Station Wagon and brought it to my house... Here Mike, don't wreck it and bring it back when you are done with it... I didn't ask, he saw my need...

Mike, I have known a few millionaires that are similar to this guy. Maybe not quite like him but one of them gave me my first job during a recession when jobs were hard to get. He has given away far more money than I will ever earn.

A question I have had that I don't see addressed by the cheerleaders for increasing the minimum wage is the effect on unemployment of those that would be working for minimum wage. It makes it harder for teens to get a first job, particularly black male teenagers. (By the way, contrary to the fast food worker stereotype, I know some black teenage men who can make correct change in the blink of an eye when the register is down.)
WSJ wrote:
Economist David Neumark, an expert on minimum-wage economic studies, says that an economic rule-of-thumb is that every 10% increase in the minimum wage reduces teen employment by about 1% to 3%. In October the U.S. teen jobless rate was 22.2% and for black teens it was 36%. The Obama minimum wage combined with the health mandate could mean up to a 10% reduction in jobs for the poor and young. Liberals must care deeply about inequality because their policies do so much to increase it.

This could be an opportunity for a new forum game to take the edge off the depressing nature of a few posts.

RULES:

1. Make a rather innocuous post.
2. Count the number of known liberal trolls who show up, one point each.
3. One point for each personal attack.
4. One point for each disparaging name called.
5. Three points for each alternative spelling of Fox News.
6. Five points for each use of the word "Tea Baggers".

So far this post has:

Trolls - 3
Personal attacks - 3
Names called - 2
Fox News spellings - 1 (3 points)

11 points on the first page alone! Bcheary, you did GOOD!

And some on this list have been supported or defended by liberals and/or Democrats. That and a demonstrated belief that it is okay to lie to us "for our own good" doesn't do their credibility any good.

Nice try, but the ACA does work! They are signing up lots of people in the ACA programs. But there is lots of false info out there regarding the ACA.

Perhaps you have been watching Fux Noze too much... then again, "what does reality have to do with it?" It is more fun to hate, deny, and wallow in paranoia. If people want your personal information, they can get it without the ACA. .

I recall some false info regarding the ACA. "If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan. Period."
