Many thanks Stardust- will most definitely check this out! :-)
Was wondering with all of the Professional and highly experienced photographers on here which websites they have found most useful for establishing their portfolios and why as I am currently comparing website options for establishing mine for hopefully potential future sales? Am also curious about any negative feedback and related experiences they have had with putting their portfolios online as well, given of course that all of their work is watermarked?
Thank you very much in advance for your thoughtful and insightful responses!
Thanks JD. I've been shopping ebay/CL the past 3/4 weeks with no luck. Have found some close, but my needs are for a durable/lightweight tripod that can handle at least 45 lbs (55+ is even better) & at least 5' 6" to minimize the need to bend over. Have been researching these for months, & really like the Gitzo/RRS series and prefer the BH-55 head as it should meet my needs for bigger lenses/heavier weight. Found some legs in NJ & am waiting to hear back to see what he will accept & if he will deal w/someone via mail. Thanks for the helpful feedback though!
"Lightly used" GT3543XLS tripod and RRS BH-55 if anyone has both/either to sell. Thanks!
Hi, was wondering if the well traveled landscape/nature photographers could add their thoughts regarding what vest they have found the most helpful when having to take numerous lenses and potentially even a couple different camera bodies on a long hike into the wilderness?
Thanks much in advance!
I am actually looking for the lens cap, as I lost mine on a flight out West.
Hi Everyone,
Have seen others here offer similar items for simply the cost of shipping, which am happy to do and wanted to know if anyone has an extra Nikon 58mm front lens cap they don't need?
Thank you!
Wanted to post a Huge Thanks to EVERYONE who has posted their Very Helpful feedback in response to my initial post and questions. Am close to making a decision, and Everyone has contributed very helpfully to the difficult decision making process. Thank YOU ALL- every bit of info has helped me make what I hope will be a Very educated decision!
Thanks MrBob, much appreciate your feedback and experiences with it. Looks to be a Very Sturdy model with quality construction. Good recommendation from DrNikon as well. Glad you are enjoying it, and am strongly considering it as a finalist in the decision making!
And Great Galleries btw SScott- Esp love the hummingbird shots- tack sharpness and vivid colors..!
Thanks again SScott- Great point, esp w/the 200-500 lens. And a good physics lesson as well.... but Thanks Tom for the sandbag idea- good one too! Was thinking my cam bag will More than suffice for them IF it does'nt break the legs... It's actually a very versatile backpack that I've had weighed down to what Feels like Nearly 40 lbs of equipment! I know- only take what you Think you'll need. Another lesson learned..
Apologies- meant to say Zomei... Nothing against Gitzmo(Gitzo).. Too many manuf names going through my head...
Thanks Tom- much appreciated and thanks for the link! Will check that out as well.
Thanks SScott- will check it out!
Thanks Papa- Much appreciated & Great insight as I'm also considering looking for the Best Used as well. My only concern w/tripods is the amount of physical abuse they must get with uses similar to what I want/need to do- outdoor shooting, combined with prolonged exposure to the elements and how that affects the subsequent warranties that come with them. Am on the fence on that aspect as well, but very much appreciate your helpful feedback and your time- Very much!
And yes, learned the hard way, as I'm sure others have, that YGWYPF (get what you pay for)...!!! (Gitzmo=Gits Mo of your $$ for Less...)
