The 500 f/5.6 PF replaced my 500 f/4.0. I wasn't sure if I was going to miss the extra stop. I don't.
I used to carry the 500 f/4.0 on a tripod, over my shoulder. I carry the PF by the lens foot and leave the tripod at home. If I plan on walking for a while the battery grip come off the D7200, then I'm good to go.

I'm sure it's not perfect and somebody will point out some legitimate faults. If I lost mine somehow it would be replaced by the same lens.

On a smaller scale, I also replaced my old 300mm with the PF version.

I am still using my Tamron Gen 1 lens. Wondering if anyone in here uses the Nikon lens that is in the title bar as I am thinking of doing an upgrade.
How do you like it for image quality, etc. Any pros or cons.
My camera body is a Nikon D7200.
Thanks,
Marsha

Agreed, and for really digging in, Process Explorer from sysinternals (www.sysinternals.com) (freeware). It's task manager on steroids...

I'll have to check that out! Thank you.

Yes, updates can sometimes change security settings. It’s the first thing I’d look at.

As I posted above, the task manager fix worked. Thank you for commenting.

As recommended by Canisdirus I opened up the task manager...had about 6 Photoshop 2022 going. I ended all of them and did a restart. It worked!!
Thank you all for trying to help!

Check your security settings too. The program may have become blocked.

If you try and open it and it doesn't...open up task manager...see if the program is listed.
If it is...right click and hit end task.

Then try it again.

It worked!! Thank you so much!

I'd reboot your system first as that will be of the first things Adobe suggests.

Hello and I hope someone can give me an answer. Since doing an update in Adobe, I am not able to open Photoshop. Lightroom is ok. Has anyone else had this problem? I've read a couple of things online and have not solved my problem yet. Maybe an uninstall? Just wanted to see if anyone in here has had that problem and hopefully can give me some advise. I did a search on this topic in here...one uninstall but older topics. Also, the post said to save preferences before uninstalling. That was helpful.
Thanks in advance.

As a wildlife photographer, I can't even begin to imagine how many shots I would have missed without bbf. I am one too that changed to bbf many years ago and have not looked back. With thumb on the bbf button and finger on the shutter...continuous focusing and clicking. I personally recommend it.
