For people 24 and under the stats are that the flu is more deadly than covid. People who look for simple answers to complex issues tend to be easily indoctrinated

If you ever lived in or visited a socialist country you would never say the foolish things that you have said. I spent a couple of years of my life living in socialist countries for business purposes. While I had VIP status, I saw and heard the profound negative effects that socialism has on real people. This winter you can make a trial for yourself. If you live in a cold place, only heat your house to 50 F.( some folks don't have it that good) Turn off your hot water except for Sunday and Wednesday between 6 and 10pm. If you have a gas stove only use it when hot water is available. Limit your family to 4 eggs and 2 pounds of meat a month - most of it chicken. You can eat all the bread and cheese you can but no gourmet stuff. Sardines will be ok too. A salad will be a large pickle. No fresh vegatables. Eat canned. There a lot more hardships but you can start there.

Bingo. And thats why socialists try to erase or re-write history. And why they always try to mix social systems with socialism. Capitalists have given FAR more to socially responsible and effective charity than any other group.

The mentalities that taxpayer funded systems breed are doomed to fail, by their very nature. Its why capitalism succeeds and socialism always fails.

Dont forget "social justice", "equality", and "black lives matter". ...all lies to further anti-American agendas, repeated at every oportunity with zero reverence to actual facts.

"Have a conversation" about "the truth of the matter" "at the end of the day" "to believe the scientists".
How about shut up about the lies, all day long, about somebodies opinion you picked for your "talking points".

First, let me introduce myself, My name is Sunshine Willow, I live in Florida, hope to move out of here next year, not my favorite place.
Anyway, I would really like to start working with Realestate companies do the home photography. I have seen some of the realtor shots, and most are just horrible, not even staging before the shoot. But my question is , I just had an email sent to me wanting me to sign up for a class, which I would have, however, it seemed to me to be extremely expensive. So my question is , Do you really need a class to take photos of a nice home, if you know you are able to shoot the pictures great? Isn't it more economical to get a book on it and study yourself? Its not like your certified to be a professional photo realestate photographer.

Thanks
Sunshine

As with all biz, do the credit/debit numbers FIRST. Account for every possible cost. If you plan to clear $200 wages/day, start there.
Most fail at biz because they never did the math honestly. Account for an additional sizeable percentage off the top just for "reality factors". Stuff happens, count on it. Optimism is required, but too much can cost you.

There were previous discussions about Nikon going the way of Olympus. IMHO I doubt it. Unlike its competitors, Nikon is owned by Mitisubishi Corporation, with sales of over US$34 Billion and a market cap of over $54 Billion. It can draw on the deep pocket of its parent company. Nikon will be around probably just as long or longer than any of its current competitors. Canon relies heavily on its imaging products which include calculators...Nikon does not, and overall it is still a relatively financially viable company. Trying to compare both companies is like apples and oranges. It is probably the only camera manufacturer that grinds and polishes it own lenses and the other one is Leica...

If you're not willing to change to a better brand, you're the only one cheating yourself out of success in photography.

Rrrright....and no great photos were ever taken with other brands. The more time i spend here reading this nonsense, the more i am cheating myself out of actual photography.

Too funny... hobbyist believe they can establish their persona through the brand they purchase...
Not much unlike many purchase their cars as a social statement of "class"

Commercial shooters establish their persona i.e. perceived worth through the quality of their imagery...
Not seeing many commercial shooters on UHH...

So the inverse of this query is "Why are so many commercial photographers leaving UHH?"

Exactly. Ive not seen much indication that artistic talent comes from a brand. But ive seen a lot of crap being shot by "the best gear". Many would have you believe that last years camera cant make you a better photographer. Apparently, to their ways of thinking, photographs taken in the past are not worthy in their future.

If I buy a good gun, do I have to shoot somebody? Or can I just lock it up in my house to feel more secure satisfied that I am a gun owner?

Every man has to figure out for himself, and not have others do his thinking for him. That is the entire point of the principles of America, and the 2nd Amendment. It defines the difference bettween We the People and they, the sheeple.

No. Glenn you read what the OP posted as a serious statement and responded in kind. If you knew that was posted was a joke, you wouldn't have responded as you did, but, perhaps, "you" would have. Your friends already know that you aren't anyone to mess with, most of us on the Hog find posturings such as yours --juvenile and boring.

Whats juvenile and boring is to waste peoples time with a "joke" thats is so old, stale, and unoriginal as to be a total yawn. And then to see replies like thus, wow. If you think i thought it was "serious", you are daft. Thats the point. I click thinking its something worth a minute to read, something useful to photography....it wasnt. Just the same old same old this old "sensitive" forum is now known for. Get it? A joke ahould actually be funny.

If you recycle a joke older than dirt, expect some twists to come right back at ya.
