I haven't posted for a while. I usually post pictures of birds taken from my kayak. I have posted a few of my woodworking projects in the past and here is my latest. A model of our new camper and truck. Made from walnut, cherry and oak to obtain the different colors. The complete outfit is 37 inches long and 8 inches wide. I hinged the top so that the inside could be seen.

Red-shouldered Hawks are no threat to your song birds. They are way too slow to catch birds. They prey on small mammals (mice and voles), amphibians, and reptiles. My local pair are very fond of frogs.

That is good to know. Thanks.

They are gorgeous but I think they 'll need a bigger nest box.............

I agree. I hope they done eat all my songbirds but i do love having them around. Maybe they will just eat rats.

Young beautiful hawks. Love the feathers pattern. Very good shot. I see crows scare off many other birds to get food. Nature is not always fair. Thanks for sharing.

These two hawks were raised in the edge of the woods behind my house. I could see the nest from my back window. It was fun watching the raise. They stay close by. I hear them trying to scare up some food every day around the fields. Thanks for looking.

These two Red-shouldered hawks were sitting on our Blue Bird box this morning when we opened up the curtains on the patio doors.
