I use Peak Design for all reasons above.
The part of this thread that interests me most is that we (and I include me) think that not having a strap with the mfg name will not 'advertise' our expensive cameras to nefarious people.
I've changed my mind.
Anyone looking to steal cameras already knows that a person holding a 'big ass camera' may be worth stealing. I never look at the camera strap when I see someone walking around with a camera and lens.
So, I've reconsidered and do not think that using the manufacturer's camera strap with their name in BIG LETTERS, will make a hill of beans difference. It's all about your own awareness and vigilance.

Traveling to Uganda to view the mountain gorillas. Need advice on lenses to take. Using Nikon d500. I'm thinking zoom lens like a Nikon 18-200 which gives a good range of zoom for portrait pics(85-105mm) and reaches out a bit(200mm) for some distance pics. Don't want to carry a lot of lenses because there is some hiking involved. Would like some advice and hear what others think about my choice of lens.
I suggest you take a look at Steve Perry's
https://backcountrygallery.comI guaranty you will get more answers to this question from people who have been there; as well as some great tips.
Have a great trip!
Needless to say, everyone has their preference.
If I'm out for a short time or just in a specific location, I use my wrist band/Peak Design Cuff.
If I'm out for the day or days, I will use either the BR Breathe or more so the Peak Design Slide Lite.
I find it less 'taxing' on my arm by using the sling strap and absolutely no loss in reaction or time. I have never lost a shot using the sling-especially since my hand is on the camera by my side. Lifting the camera from my side whether on the sling or cuff is no difference.
Of course not the same if you are just walking and not anticipating a shot and having it in the small of your back.
You also don't want to miss the markets in local villages.
The people are wonderful and love to interact with respectful visitors. They never met a picture they didn't like!
Pick and choose what you realistically have time to do.
We spent 2 days--and wish we had more time.
Have a great time!

It is an amazing place. Did not do the 'cowboy thing' but the entire area and experience offers more historical and visual experiences than you would expect. If I had more time, I would have definitely looked to do your tour. Speak to your tour guide ahead of time to make sure that you are also not missing the other areas.
Enjoy...

usually my camera is in my left hand as i wander around.
Are you left handed? If so, you may want to check out Black Rapid's two LH straps.
https://www.blackrapid.com/all/camerastraps/single-camera-straps/I have the original Sport Breathe/RH. I switched to Peak Design's Slide Light and Cuff because of ease of 'use'. But, I have to say that the BR is more comfortable for multiple days.
MBPro 16" M1/2 iMac 24s M1--just upgraded from Ventura to Sonoma 14.3.1. No issues. As a bonus, for those who have a Z8-Raw Lossless support now included.
FYI, Apple just posted support for Z8 Lossless Compressed.
Many who have Ventura and Monterey may find that they also have support as others have reported.

That's true, but then the OP wouldn't look so smart.

Other than attribution, the posting has more merit than most.
B+W XS Pro line filters are discontinued and replaced by the 'Master' line.
The XS Pro are great filters.
I would go for it do it through PayPal as suggested.

He asked for comments from full time Sony users, not Canon fanboy/Sony haters like you. LOL.LOL
CHG_Canon, while not a Sony user, was certainly not precluded from answering since the OP also discussed part of their conundrum with Canon products. Well thought out and his final thought was relevant regardless of what one shoots.
Clearly you have no problem in answering any question since you have owned and are an expert in just about all major camera manufacturers. In fact, one can only be impressed with your stable of equipment..especially since you never let anyone forget.
And let us not forget that all of these professional organizations that use certain manufacturers, such as Sony, mean that all of us ignorant enthusiasts who choose to use anything else...are ignorant!
Thank you sincerely for pointing this out.
LoL, LoL, Cheers

Unless, of course, you have experienced this yourself and your lens was protected.
No one is to say that without the filter my lens would have been ok anyway. But I don't want to take that chance.
