But with the subscription you are allowed to install it on up to three computers, but only use it on one at a time.

Personally I wouldn't bother installing Photoshop on a laptop. They just aren't that great for image editing and optimization to a high degree, such as PS is used for. To finish images to a high level, it's much better to use desktop with a calibrated monitor in in a fixed location (where lighting is controlled and consistent).

I have Lightroom installed on both desktop and laptop. But I have Photoshop installed only on my desktop.

I calibrate my laptop monitor just as I do my desktop monitor. I take it from your comment that you do not calibrate your laptop. Why not?

Actually, it was more for the benefit of the seller rather than the buyer. I thought he might have a difficult time selling the item not knowing there were more attractive offers available to the buyer.

I'm sorry that this thread has gotten to the point that it has. I really don't see myself participating going forward. However, I do have one question for TriX. I'm not the first person to notify a seller that his price might be out of line. In fact, I placed a link to an identical situation that occurred much before this thread. I don' know if you bothered to look at it. So, my question to you is why did you single me out and none of the others?

Thanks again, rcdovala. You did a service to this forum.

And a resolution to those who would like to have only positive discussion about even overpriced items such as this one: Only PMs should be allowed by the forum administrator. No one discussing items for sale. Otherwise, terrific participants such as rcdovala will come in a try to serve the entire forum, seller, buyer and all. How does he serve the seller ~ Well, he kind of told the seller how everyone in a forum of such savvy people would never buy what he is selling, including all those big walleted Hogs defended his pricing. They did not buy it, noooo, they just told everyone else how much of a great deal it is.

Come on, Hogs.

If you feel it was none of rcdovala's business to say what he said, how is it any of your business to say what you just said?

In sales, what rcdovola did, was to present an objection. The job of a salesperson is to overcome such objections. You did a fine job of overcoming the objection for whomever might be a prospective buyer -- up until the point where you decided to insult another Hog. Up to that point, what you wrote may be just what a buyer needs to hear to spend the money for the one here for sale. But rcdovola did a fine job of bringing up an objection. That's how this works.

I know that this is not ideal but you could batch rename the images on your computer.

No. You have not been appointed as the arbiter as to what is a “fair” price, and you may not know all the facts. The seller has zero obligation to provide comparative pricing, only to represent the item for sale honestly. It’s not your listing, it’s none of your business, and you’re presumptuous in believing potential buyers can’t look up prices on their own. You’re not “exposing” some unethical dealings, you’re butting into a transaction that’s not yours, and that is really bad form.

Let me give you an example you may be able to relate to. You’re selling your house. You or your realtor are having an open house, and someone who you don’t know and has no interest in buying your house shows up while you’re showing it to potential buyers and posts a sign in your yard listing all the competitive houses in the neighborhood that are lower in price per square foot. Now do you get it?

I should have sent a PM to the OP. But you should also understand that you have not been appointed as the spokesperson for the OP and by acting as the spokesperson you are also butting into something that is none of your business.

If you’re not a perspective buyer, why are you commenting on another member’s listing? Do you think the readers need a reviewer to compare prices for them? I can promise you that this is not appreciated by the seller and wouldn’t be appreciated by you if you were listing an item for sale.

If I was selling an item on this site, I certainly would want a fellow hogger to warn me if my listing was not being fair to all parties. As a seller. I believe you have an obligation not only to yourself but also to any potential buyer. Anything less is unethical IMO.

I believe that it is a tariff issue. Any device that can record video for 30 minutes or more has a tariff added because it is considered a camcorder. That is my understanding.

There is an area called "newspaper rock" in the needles district of Canyonlands national park. Apparently the intent of the carvings was to announce upcoming trade meetings between the different tribes. Today you have 24/365 news channels, newspapers,(real ones), snapchat, twitter, facebook, etal.
I think the intent of those people was to communicate important information to each other. I agree with the OP defining this current activity as defacement, as in look at me. There are so many ways to communicate today you certainly do not need to carve crap into trees for your own self aggrandizement.

You do realize that the maximum record time of the D500 is 29 minutes and 59 seconds, don't you? I have read that there is a firmware hack to remove this limitation but know of no specifics regarding this hack.
