In your post you said "I desperately want her pictures to turn out great". There seems to be some uncertainty that at this level of experience you will be able to accomplish your goal. If there is a question, my advice is explain to your cousin that the quality of her wedding pictures are as important to you as they are for her. Explain that with your level of skill doing weddings it is best to employ a professional. If money is a question, give her the money you would have as expense to defray some of the cost of a professional photographer as a wedding gift. Others might want to join you. What a nice gift! Then go to the wedding, take your camera, make pictures to your heart,'s content. No risk of quality or disappointed family. Best of luck with your decision. Thanks for asking for advice

MT Shooter is correct. If you are uncertain Narrow your choice (s) down and rent for a test drive. It could be money well spent

As has been said it will vary with elevation. From my experience the third week in October has been a good target for the western NC/East TN area. If your schedule is flexible, both TN and NC have websites that report the fall foliage colors regularly that will help you plan your trip. Others in that area may offer more specific advice.

For me the issue of using the LCD. screen in bright sunlight is a problem . If this presents a problem for your wife you might want to investigate cameras that have a viewfinder with some quality

Thank you for your reply. I am sure that there are errors in pp as I am not adept with PS and you are correct that there are manipulation artifacts present however the brownish outline is there in the original raw image. I will work with your suggestion. Thank you again. Joe Peva

Thanks Jason and everyone for your help and compliments. This is really the first time that I have had this problem.
I asked a lot from my lens. The sun was bright and the magnolia bloom was extremely while. There was a lot of light to handle. Joe P

Thank you for your help. I now know the problem and can work on correcting it in the future should this problem arise again. This photograph is not critical. I get a "do over" on this one since it is in my backyard. Thanks again Joe P.

Thank you for your prompt diagnosis of the problem. Now where do I begin to address the problem in PSE 10?

Please note the brownish outline on the margin of the flower and the leaves. What is the cause of this and how do I correct the problem? This does not look too unusual on the leaves as they have a brownish cast on the bottom at times. Shot with Nikon D90,Nikor 35/1.8. iso 200, 1/200. white balance auto, sharpening 4

I enjoy a short stop at the Parthenon/Centenial Park as something different. Google it and see if it looks interesting.

The quick and easy answer I have read and accepted is use normal with normal hand held shots. Use active when you are shooting from a moving platform like car, boat, train or the like.
