I have been cautioned by numerous "experts" not to use lens wipes because of alcohol content and its longterm effect on coatings. A moist (water) microfiber lens cloth gets the most votes as the preferred approach to cleaning, after being sure there are no visible particles adhering to the surface. Particles should first be blown off or brushed off with a brush or dry cloth. I will be interesting to hear from others.
Well, not completely bear. He is wearing shorts.
Good question. I have other lenses that make these redundant. Just sold both locally.

Shot this guy in Sarasota this morning. Can any of you birders help me with identification? Warbler? Vireo?
Condensation trail seen behind jet engines. Sorry, Jerry, for not being more clear.
Sound and scientific insight. Thank you.
This an an Ospey, shot from our living room window with a Nikon D750 and a 300mm Nikor with a 1.4x tele extender. The con trail and moon, also shot from our livingroom; moon with same camera and lens; the con trail with a D7100/18-300 Nikor zoom.
I use a png image of my logo and apply it to the lower right corner.
Very nice shot. I think you are correct.
The power of moonlight is both mysterious and enormous. I have great concern for this guy during the eclipse when all the moonlight is in the wrong direction. Any suggestions from you bird photographers? "Shoot the guy" is not an option!
Magnificent shots! Thanks for sharing.
It's clearly a Bulgarian, bodacious, black-eyed, spotted-back, big-bug.
