The 300PF + 1.4TC is an excellent combo, but on a D750 it'll come up short much of the time. I'd recommend a 500PF - super light, incredibly fast and sharp.

Thanks for the kind words everyone :)

The thing is, between low engagement numbers, the negative e-mails, confusion, and honestly - the unsettling numbers of people un-subbing from my newsletter everytime I sent out a podcast update - it just wasn't worth it to me. It actually takes a lot more time to come up with these than their 20 minute average time would indicate, and it seemed to be a losing proposition. Ironically, I think this may be the first time anyone has actually even mentioned one of the podcasts outside of my site. Lack of shares = lack of growth.

I've owned internet-based businesses for over 20 years now - before I was able to to wildlife photography / education full time. In the time, I've become fairly good at spotting a bad idea - I figured ultimately that my time would be better spent on other projects / videos / articles. When you realize you're making a mistake, I've found it best to stop making the mistake (many don't) and move on.

Again, thank you for your support.

I wholeheartedly agree that for your images it is well worth it to register them. And I am not an expert by any means but I believe your damages are limited if you do not register them in a timely manner. Also as you would be registering Published images you can easily publish any and all of the images you want to protect on your website. The 750 images in the group must all be published or all be unpublished. I believe the rule is if it is on a website and available to the public it is considered published.

And thank you for your helpful videos!

It's funny, when I was reading through the info I was trying to decide what constituted "published" - and I think you're correct. I was going to call and see when I get a chance. Thanks!

If anyone here really wants to Copyright and Register their images here is a link to a couple of videos from the US Copyright office on how to do it for both published and unpublished images.

https://www.copyright.gov/registration/photographs/index.html

And there is no mention of the necessity to put any Copyright information in the meta-data. But in order to get compensation I believe it is required to submit them to the Copyright office before you can sue the Copyright infringer.

I love Steve Perry's videos and helpful information but in this video he did mention that he DOES NOT Copyright his images.
If anyone here really wants to Copyright and Regis... (show quote)

To clarify, in the US, your creative work is protected by copyright the moment you click the shutter. Registration is optional. However, registration gives you a much stronger legal position if it comes to it. As of now, I don't register my images - however - after doing some research I may start. $55 for 750 pics doesn't seem unreasonable.

Thanks for the concern about the BBAF booklet, but that one can be distributed freely. Enjoy!

Depends on what you're doing. I love the Z7 for landscape and macro, but no way would I trade it for my D850 when it comes to wildlife / action. Also, the D850 offers a lot more customization and control. IMO, the Z7 is more of a mid-range body, where the D850 is a pro camera. Just wish they had a pro mirrorless - then we'd be all set :)

Be careful with using older flashes on newer gear - the voltage is far too high and it can fry your camera.

You know we all love ya, but, you are quoting nikon RUMORS. I know you know the definition on RUMOR.
I will say nothing more.
As you have posted earlier, Nikon announces it's flagships very predictively, usually just before a major sporting event.
But, until Nikon does make their announcement, there is NO D6, YET.

As promised :)

The thing is, there are different degrees of "rumor" - you have to figure out which ones are more reliable. I'm glad I mentioned the D6 to the OP. It would have been a shame for him to purchase a new D5 right now with the D6 around the corner.

The D7500 is probably one of the most underrated cameras ever. IMO, it's a little gem and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Have fun and congrats!

Not to bust your chops Steve but, it's not the gear that's hard to find. It's the bucks to buy it.

Well... I don't have a two minute video to help with that LOL!
