The last several vacations I went on I just took my Sony XR10iii with five batteries and only went through two in any given day. However I recently went to Chicago to see my daughter and just took my Canon GX7ii and it did a wonderful job too and was a lot lighter than the RX10. The zoom lens on the RX10 is amazing and really lets you reach out and get great shots. The wide angle on the RX10 and the canon I found sometimes not wide enough. Hope that helps.
