You got me...and I"m a zoologist (actually, with an ornithology specialty)...being sarcastic. I'm learning...can't be too careful or flippant.

It's funny...I was scrolling thru today's photos...saw this and thought...that looks like something Kalina would do. Clicked on it and was rewarded...the quality of your work is exceptional (of course you already know that). Thanks for sharing.

I did not shoot todays eclipse but I went all out in July 11, 1991. This was shot Chapala, Mexico.
Gear was a C5 Celestron telescope, 1200mm/f11, equipped with a custom 5 inch Thousand Oaks Optical Solar Filter on a Canon F-1N with a remote trigger. Film used was Fuji Velvia, shot at ISO-40.
I do not recall the shutter speeds now but I probably bracketed between 1/125 & 1/750.
This photo is a scan of a Cibachrome montage print made from 5 separate 35mm slides. The Solar filter was removed for the center shot. This is a very low resolution version, the actual photo is 19in x 24in, 231MB.

Excellent montage. Cibachrome!! Creative! I'm sure the 19X24 is breathtaking. Thanks for sharing.

In Atlanta we got to see about 98% coverage by the moon. I took this picture with my IPhone & while trying to hold the special viewing glasses over the lens. A bit sloppy but a decent remembrance for posterity in my family.

I like it. Very different. Clouds and color...great photo!
