Consider Zoner Photo Studio

For storage consider Amazon Photos. It comes with your Prime membership and is unlimited.

For viewing I like FastStone.

For editing look at Zoner Photo Studio. If you have Sony, also look at Capture One Express for Sony.

I use FastStone to organize my images as the first program to get files from SD card to external hard drives. I also use FastStone to copy RAW images to my working folders. Then in FastStone, I will rename those images. I don't use FastStone for editing/processing.

As several others have said, Capture One is the best choice. I know many photogs who have quit using Adobe and moved to Capture One.

The fishing platforms still exist and are used. They are closer to the dam, east of these structures.

Joseph Nicéphore Niépce and Louis Jaques Daguerre formed a partnership beginning in 1829. Niepce died 3 years into that partnership and his son assumed the partnership but did not contribute very much to the method being developed. Daguerre with help of the French government made the process dominate and available to the public.

Could the OP be referring to Henry Fox Talbot in 1839 when saw Daguerre's work and then published his process. It is generally agreed that Daguerre and Talbot gave the foundation to what we know as photography today.

I read the description for world photography day and they seem to have inaccurate dates. 1839 was a significant year because that is when Herschel made his work known. All of these people deserve credit as they were working on processes to make the image permanent.

As a reference see Beaumont Newhall's "The History of Photography."

Because the market that the RX series is intended for is not one where an external flash would ever be used.
There was a hot shoe on the M2 or M3, I cannot remember, and it was the least used component of the camera. Which was why it was replaced with the pop-up flash.

Their marketing logic dictates that if you want an external flash, get an "A" series.

That being said, $1200 for the latest version is a bit over the top.

The reason I use the RX100m2 is the hot shoe. I have small Mieke flash that I use on it. I am disappointed that the current versions do not have a hot shoe.

The focal length is always a concern in gardens. Most of the time you do not have the space needed for the focal length for a long zoom lens. Even some longer primes have longer focal lengths. Space in gardens has two limitations, the width of rows and other people. To allow you to be close to the flowers macro lenses are usually the lenses preferred by photographers.

The 28-70 lens should be OK. The 35mm might be better as you only have one focal length to know.

I get 41 MB RAW files and 81 MB Uncompressed RAW files with my A7Rii. For what I am doing this camera is all I need. If I had a studio and did portraits or small products, then I would consider the Riv. My point is that 61 mp has a place, but is that place for all photographers. It seems this may be a more specialized camera.
