Hi Lenny - grandkids are great! I have 5 granddaughters, and they're amazing. There's a little model railroad store right on the border with Dunellen at 290 Vail Ave, Piscataway, NJ 08854. I've not been in it, but it's been around forever. I didn't know about cherry blossoms in Bound Brook. The only one I've heard of is a cherry blossom festival in Branch Brook Park.

Hope all is well.

Thats what I meant Breach Brook Sorry. BB has more trees than Wash DC. The store on Vail ave is the one I go to they are the oldest Model RR store in the nation. They carry everything all little parts as well as all the things you will need or Want for your Model RR. I only wish it was closer. When I lived in Oldbridge it wasn't so bad. now Im in Jackson.

Beautiful pictures that bring back fond memories. We used to visit Lucerne every year from 1985 to 1992. The Kapellbrucke was constructed in 1365 connecting the old part of Lucerne with the new. It was a covered bridge decorated with beautiful pictures inside the bridge. The bridge was destroyed by fire in 1993 and subsequently restored. It is the oldest wooden covered bridge in Europe.
On our first trip to Zermat in 1985 we never saw the Matterhorn due to heavy fog but we did get to see it on subsequent trips. It is a breathtaking sight as your picture shows. I have several friends who climbed the Matterhorn sho can attest to the beauty. The village of Zermat itself is a stunning village nestled in the Alps. The only way to get to the village was to park your car in Tasch and take a funicular up to Zermat which was about 5 kilometers away.
Thank you very much for sharing your wonderful pictures.
Beautiful pictures that bring back fond memories. ... (show quote)

It is still the same did you know that the round building attached to the bridge was originally a prison. I took the funicular to the top of an adjacent mtn near the matahorn and we walked down and stopped at a restaurant in the middle of the mtn. My favorite town is Grobenwaid its the town below the jungfru. but you are correct its all beautiful. Thank you for your comments and story

It looked familiar I live in Jackson and was there a few years ago. My grand kids are in Westfield and I take them all around to parks I also take them to the model realroad shop in Danelliun Im a model railroader and they love going there and I tell them what I need and let them pick it out. especially fright cars. Have you ever went to Bondbrook for the cherry blossoms?

I love the last picture. If you ever get back there try using a neutral density filter 10X and use a long exposure you will get magnificent results, although these pictures are pretty magnificent also
