To the Nader naysayers: I had a 60 Corvair and while traveling on the newly opened I80 near Harrisburg, PA, had a rear tire blow and within seconds the car flipped a total of 5 times. I didn't count them, the truck driver behind me told me. Car landed on its side and I walked out the windshield. I think the only thing that saved me was the fact there was no drive train hump because of the rear engine and I was thrown to the floor. No seatbelts in 1966. When I pushed the car over onto its wheels I saw that the roof was crushed down to the seats. Still don't know how I survived but Someone said "not yet".

Just change the Mode to Grayscale. If there's still a cast it's your monitor.

I spent hours this morning trying to get three printers to work. I finally succeeded with one. The Epson ET-2760 LCD said, "Contact Epson Support." I set it aside for a couple of weeks and used other printers. I tried it again this morning, but there was no warning, and it printed a couple of pages. Then, it began printing blank pages. Blank pages! I went through several maintenance procedures, and it finally started printing beautifully again. Go figure.

"Colossus: The Forbin Project" doesn't seem to be available for streaming, although it is listed on YouTube. I tried it last night - black screen after two minutes. Then I found this on YouTube. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e73_DpFp9uM

I ordered a DVD of the film from Amazon.

The cute little fellow got a lot of attention in the first image. The next four images were taken with my camera, either on my lap or near my ankles, while we were having dinner alfresco on a side street. The last two are of tattooed ladies, while the first two show the reaction of a woman thanking my wife for admiring her "Marylyn Monroe" dress.

Very nice series. I especially like the first. I see the older woman's younger self mirrored in the wall art.

Our fires were fueled by dry conditions and 50-80mph winds blowing into close, historic wooden structures. 60 historical structures are ashes, 4500 displaced, 2270 homes destroyed, 145 businesses and a 6 billion repair bill. This has been our state's worst natural disaster with 89 dead so far and several hundred missing. Even the harbor and boats burned. And we all hope that the Banyon Tree will show life, the base was heated, farther up some big branches were slightly burned and the crown was substantially burned. This was a bad moment for us here on Maui and in Hawaii, but we remain strong.

Aloha
Rob

I lived in New York when 911 happened. I know how a community can suffer and how it can rebound. I pray that we can soon return to a rebuilt Maui and again share with you the beauty and charm of your home.

Aloha,

Tom

Pray for Maui. Can't believe the devastation caused by the inferno that swept Lahaina. We were there last year and frequented the restaurants and shops on Front St. Now all gone. Even the Banyon Tree looked like a giant ash. Hopefully, Mother Nature will give it back to us. The tree in a happier time.

I remember being there in the 80s. I was shooting with Fujichrome. UV at that altitude played havoc with the film but came away with many great photos. Such an interesting place and story.

Thanks for a wonderful memory. That was always my favorite color on that car. Nice shots, as well.

Almost impossible to get an accurate color balance with the mixed lighting in the garden center. You've got color crossover with the red skin and when you correct it the hair goes green.
