Very Nice, John. Iceland: Another one of those places I probably won't make a trip to. My bucket list comes up shorter all the time. At least I have some pictures of these places. Thanks again,

Ted (now in Palm Bay, Florida)

Great Site Mike. We lived in Colorado some 36 years and visited all over the west over those years. Why we never did visit Yosemite is a hard one to answer. Just didn't. So, I really enjoy your pictures. Very well done/composed.

I downloaded the software but my anti-virus prevented it from opening. Call that strike two. In advance:
No, I cannot/willnot defeat my anti virus when it prevents my system from a possible virus.

I tried to download (still trying) and it sent me to another site called SEO PowerSuite who offers a free stripped down version of that software. I thought I was downloading Topaz. Most suppliers who lack honesty get 2 possibly 3 strikes. So we'll call this "Strike one

I have been using LViewPro for a long time. Many people let me know how crummy it is: I don't see it that way. It does the job and although I have paid the price in full for several versions, the free version is still available: http://www.lview.com/Download.htm I have Photoshop, version 4 but can't find my book so It is a struggle to use. I also have the light version of Photoshop (Elements) and find it was no better than what I have for free. I hope you find something you like. I have.
We have a travel trailer and used it for many trips and took many pictures. Some came out Ok, some came out lousy. Anyway, if you have some extra time on your hands, www.andore.net is our web page. I am far behind in posting anything, one of these days.....we've all used that one before. I do not copywrite anything, nor use any photos that are in copywritten status.
Regards,
Ted (Formally from 7 other states and now in Palm Bay, Florida)

Daniel, thanks for posting "Topaz". I never heard of it, so I'll try it out.

I am more apt to buy either Canon or Nikon. First thing I look at is if the battery is rechargeable. Canon's powershot SX 610 HS - 20 mpx is available at Best Buy for $229.
Nikon's Coolpix P900 at 16 mpx is available at 42nd St Photo for $519. Only other consideration is to make sure there is a sighting hole. IF you have to view the subject
through a viewing screen, you'll find the sun a serious enemy. Often you can't really tell what you are shooting. Good Luck and keep in touch.

I've done the same thing but never able to capture the same exact picture, even when I took both of them.

I bought a Lenovo desktop, took the free upgrade to Windows 10 and it did the same thing. I couldn't find exactly what was causing it so I shut the computer off and pulled the plug on it. I put the plug back in when I was ready to start the computer up the next day. After awhile, the problem went away by itself. I suspected it was a defective download but never took the time to find it in the registry. IF you do find it, please post what you found. Good Luck,
Regards,
Ted

Since my primary camera is a T1i Canon and it is indeed a canon, I would opt for my Nikon P7800 and leave the canon at home. This depends on what I might be shooting. Yesterday we went to a "Wild Animal Sanctuary" and was a bit disappointed. All they had were birds, most of them injured and some faking it for free room and board.
This was a disappointing trip but the "Park" was nice and a good thing that someone is willing to do it. As the man we talked to said, their "primary objection is to take a sick bird, keep it till it is Ok and then let it go back into the wild.
