Go for a small ship cruise (up to c.90 passengers) with an expedition team on board; the team members will accompany you in small groups on shore or out in zodiacs & will provide lectures when on board. They are obviously more expensive but well worth the extra. A small ship can stop or turn round if whales or dolphins are spotted & will get you into many more interesting places where the large ships can't go - & when you get ashore there aren't 2,000 of you! We did this & never regretted the extra cost.

BTW, which small cruise line did you take? Thank you.

I use the Sensor gel stick. This link has a description as well video instruction:

Once you do it the first time, you will find it quite straight-forward.

If you decide to go FX (full frame), the only way to benefit from the full frame is to acquire FX glass as well. If you use DX glass, you will only end up with DX format images. Nikon glass is on sale... :)

The D7100 would be a great choice to replace the D90. You may want to consider the D7200 if you need a larger buffer.

Thank you for your input - I ended up with the BosStrap and it worked out very well on a 3-week tour in Asia; very comfortable and no stress on the neck. I like the design as it leaves the tripod fitting open. One question: what do you use for a two-camera setup?

OEM camera straps are not very comfortable in use. What brand/model aftermarket have you tried and recommend? Please list pros/cons. Thank you!

Thanks for the input; how well does the "erase" feature work? Does it leave any odd artifacts after removal of the object?

Does anyone have experience with using Perfect Photo Suite with Lightroom? Thank you for your input.

Money may not be an issue, but weight is when it comes to fast glass...
