I went from a Canon 7dmk2 to a Sony a7III about 3 years ago. I really enjoyed the ability to see my exposure in advance. I started with the Sigma MC 11 adaptor and used my Canon glass(yes it was a little bit slower on the autofocus but it worked well) and transitioned to E mount glass . I have never regretted the move at all.

Set focus manually on a spot/area they frequent. Fast shutter, F11 and ISO as low as the other settings allows.. than spray and pray when one enters the focused zone

If you are going to be taking more pics it is not a good practice to put it back inside your coat once it has been out in the cold very long,it will fog up inside the warm coat

I shoot both for family outings and events if I need to post asap to social media etc, otherwise RAW.
I only save the RAW files to the archives and for editing.

When I hike with the 100-400 on my Sony the Black Rapid strap is attached to the lenses tripod collar. In this way the lens hangs horizontally with the lens end facing behind me (the lens stays cleaner and allows me to kneel down without driving the lens into the dirt )

Whichever you decide on try the Benq site, mine is a refurbished saved me a couple hundred at the time (right before Carona got here) I know prices went up some when everyone was setting up home offices, but the savings may still be comparable.

Have you ever heard of the difference between apples and turnips?

If a 35mm frame of film or full-frame sensor is roughly 36mmx24mm, why are you asking about the pixel resolution of film that is 229mmx229mm?

The only people shooting film in 2021 are fossils, the idle rich and hipsters from Brooklyn. The only ones claiming film is better than digital now 20-years into commercial digital cameras are fools.

You my friend are getting closer to fossil every day 🤣
