Yes, a lot of my High School and Jr High School students had trouble with fact vs opinion and true vs false. For that matter, so did some of the other teachers.
Then you should know better. A jury trial is a very unreliable place to try to determine truth. A jury verdict is simply a matter of opinion. It is required to convict a person of a crime, but not sufficient to determine the truth of a crime. The number of wrongly convicted and reversed death sentences is evidence of that.
But, the evidence available publicly in this case is sufficient to conclude that Trump is guilty. Defending Trump is not a matter of truth, but politics.
