I have the exact same problem with my Sony HX9V. do a google and you will find on You Tube how to replace. The screen is cheap to buy. check on EBay there are companies that will replace for free if you buy from them. Sony wanted over $200 to repair.

I will occasionally shoot video at concerts. Last year I saw the Rolling Stones and shot about 15 minutes of video and it turned out great. Sony HX9V.

With the recent $300 price drop of the Sony Rx10 I have been considering purchasing one. At $998 it seems a fair price for this type of camera. I have also been considering the new Panasonic FZ1000 at $898. Any comments or recommendations regarding these two cameras would be helpful.

Any new Sony RX 10 users out there. I haven't seen too many posts about the Rx 10.

You must visit Point Lobos State Reserve just south of Carmel. This place is spectacular. Photographer's paradise. Easy hiking trails. Spectacular scenery. Big Sur is nice but Point Lobos has everything and it is so close to Monterey & Carmel.
