Wear on finish and rubberized part near battery section gone.

Wow. Nice and no blockers! Often I see them up in pines and you have to find a spot to shoot.

I have both and use them for birding with dedicated lens attached. Features are very similar. The m3 has a joystick which makes it easier to move the selection point and better autofocus. The m3 has held held hi-res mode and astronomy mode.
For me, mostly bird photography. I use both interchangeably and I haven’t noticed a huge difference in real life. Buy a used one and get good glass.
I am thinking of getting the M1X soon for the bird autofocus.

Yes. Smaller beak than the head are tell tale signs. A Hairy has a beak length about the same size as the head.

Nice! Oh I am thinking of buying this combination to start as you never have enough lens with birds except when you are too close!. (I still have my 100-400mm lens and will have to buy an adapter.)

I haven’t gone to Duxbury this year. Saw them at Plum Island and Salisbury. Both on the beach.
