I have the 1.4 version and like it a lot. That said though, I'm usually shooting at f8 on that lens. I have not tried the 1.8 but I've read somewhere that at f8 the f1.4 lens is slightly better.
It would be nice if the OP had posted what his requirements were instead of "I am looking to purchase a wide angle Len". What is he trying to photograph? What is the budget?
I had a Canon Pro which when it broke I was quoted 400$ for repair. I print very little now so I junked the printer and use on line services. They can print any size for me. If I need something 8x10 I usually use CVS, which does an OK job. Given the constant investment in ink I think I made the right choice for me.
A friend who is a commercial photographer has 3 canon printers and uses them a lot. Usually one is down for one reason or another so he has two backups.
When I first saw sling straps they looked like they would work, but with a single point of failure I just didn't trust them.
I use OP/TECH USA. Yes it gets in the way a first, but they attach to strap mounting lugs.
We have all made mistakes of all sorts in life. Move on, but learn from them.
I have the Tamron version of the lens. Awesome lens.
This is BS. Since I went digital in 2004 I've always reformatted the card in camera. When I'm done taking pics I place the card into my computer, a MAC btw, copy the card to the HD, and then reformat in the camera. I've had a couple of cards go bad but I usually keep a stock of cards anyway. Not once has a camera ever failed me, granted I usually get a new one every 4 years.
I've got a Nikon 50/1.4 that is about 20 years old. Still works as good as the day I bought it. Never mind how many camera's its been placed on. :-)
Either the Nikon 24/70 or Nikon 24/120
I am not a pro, but my BU camera matches my main one. Even the settings. Sure it costs more that way, but the way Nikon moves buttons and there functions around it was an easier choice.
It actually makes sense to separate the kids, its for their own protection. During Hurricane Katrina families and people were crowded in to the stadium. Abuse of children occurred.
If they came here ILLEGALY then they should be deported.
Families of Asylum seekers are kept together as I understand it.
Sadly our borders have been porous for way too long!!!
