I have picked mushrooms for 65 years. I wouldn't eat any of the ones pictured. But great pictures.

Two weeks ago A coyote came into our yard and took about 15 laying hens. Two days later my wife shouted inside our front door that "the coyote is back". I had time to grab my 22 caliber colt 1911 and step outside barefoot and in my underwear. I got off one shot at it while he was stopped looking right at me. He was about 70 yards when i fired. It stumbled to his left and ran off to his right. We haven't seen it since, but had a rotting smell coming out of the corn field for about two - three days. Shooting a hand gun is like taking a picture. By the way, we haven't lost any more chickens since, and I'm the neighborhood hero.

We have had the same problem with Tanner, our rescue dog. We were asked to house him for a little while, while his owner, a little old lady, went into assistant living for a little short time. We soon noticed Tanner was scared to death of my cane. Obviously the little old lady was not so motherly toward him as she should have been. Tanner now would give his life to defend my wife and possibly mine, as long as a cane wasn't in site.

If it was not for the ant, the peonies could not open. The ants eat open the outer shell of the flower. Right now we have about 75 yards of the flowers blooming as I write this. The plants are so big and full, we will have to split them this fall. Peonies are my favorite flower.

So many people downgrade the older lenses merely because they are older. The 18-70 in its day was a highly praised lens as so was many older lenses. The 24-120vr 3.5-? was mocked because Ken Rockwell wrote a bad review of it. He later revised his review when he got a different copy of that lens. I actually liked the lens. Many of us still shoot lenses that are older with great success and have no intentions of buying the latest and greatest. Personally I think it much easier to learn how to properly take pictures and learn how to properly use the equipment you have.

I like the 24-85 vr very much. It works for both dx and fx cameras. Its about the same weight as the 24-120 vr your wife shot.. I use it on my D700 and D810. My wife shoots an D800 with the 24-70 2.8 vr. As long as we shoot at F4.5 and above, the lenses perform the same. If you ever go to the fx cameras, you will appreciate having fx lenses.

I currently own the Nikon D5, D850, and D500. But I have to admit my favorite Nikon is my Nikon D3s. And I will not be able to tell you why, I just like how it feels in my hands, it is almost as if the camera was designed to fit my hands. When I am holding that camera, it's like I am holding an old friend.

that's how I feel about my D700

Her remarks were not nearly as inciteful.

She didn’t invite people/radicals

She is a Congresswomen, not a president.

She hadn’t fired ‘em up for 5 years

She didn’t lie to them.

She didn’t step up the rhetoric last few months.

There was no riot after her remarks.

I do still wish she hadn’t said some of those things, but still say her rhetoric was far less inciting than was DJT’s.

What kind of dream world do you live in?

No CW, I'm not afraid. Thugs don't scare me. I'm too old to be scared. But I'm concerned for my grandchildren.

It has to be difficult to have to stand helplessly by and watch your state being destroyed. I'm sorry.
Thank you for noticing what is happening and having the courage to speak out. Personally I would like to know more about your perspective. Afterall, you're living it and I'm only hearing about it through a very biased media.

Yes it is. A lot of this started with the election of Sen. Wellstone. Once he got elected, he set up his office and did everything he could to bring in Muslims, many from Somalia. They were put in University of Minnesota housing not far from his office. This saturated the east side of Minneapolis for his new voters. By the way, that U of M housing is right on the blue line for fast commutes to easy picking stores and homes. That housing high rise is now a safe haven for criminals. Of course the surrounding area gets more dangerous by the week. That's why we have Omar in congress now, she got her bros to vote her in. Don't expect things to change here any time soon. The classic old safe area are changing just as Detroit did. Somehow we also got Keith Elifson in as State Attorney General. We're in trouble here, God Help Us.

what ever is to be the verdict, Minnesota will never be the same. The city is being filled by blm activists from all over the country. If that is not enough we now have Maxine Waters here encouraging rioting. Lets not forget others like the so called minister Al Sharpton. Where there's a buck to be made, there's hand out Al. I love Minnesota and grew up in Minneapolis. What its turning into is scary. Isn't it interesting how many blm activists can attend protests instead of working. When will people both white and black realize blm is an abuse of the rights of all people. Follow the Money.

I've always wondered if for example water like in your photos today actually have fish. Are the small bodies like you photograph too shallow and freeze out as so many here in Minnesota do? thanks.
