Sounds to me like you have a bad case of GAS. BTW many professionals are the last ones to get new gear. It's only when their gear is no longer capable of doing the job will they buy. They see their gear as a tool only.

Longshadow offers a concise reason for the flatness. Time of day. Choose either as the sun breaks or as the sun sets. This will give you shadow and drama.

It does indicate that a 2 year warranty is included, but no details other than that. Maybe it's an inhouse warranty?

You might want to research that company. They have a long list of complaints along with missing components they try to sell you that are suppose to be included. Buyer beware. If you need further proof, just do a search of that company on UHH.

I use a X-Rite Color Checker Passport and get the correct colors through a profile generated and use the applicable white balance according to the sample shot.

I agree with TriX. Look at purchasing a 50 1.8. There are plenty of used copies available if you can't afford a new one. The 50 1.8 was my first prime lens and I still use it frequently because of its versatility.

I'd try to find out if the camera is grey market first if at all possible to avoid complications getting the camera fixed.

Right now there talking about 15-20% speed reductions with current AMD processors with Windows 11. I'd recommend to wait it out a bit. There's plenty of bugs that still need to be worked out.

With a little research, it seem to be related to shutter assembly failure.

Look at buying a used 7DII possibly.

If you have the original free version is it worth upgrading?
Thanks,

IMO, no unless you are having issues with the software. For the most part, the DXO versions addresses software incompatibilities. There's little that the old NIK can't do that the new one does.

Keep your eyes open next month. Canon has for the last two years offered the EOS R refurbished for a little over $1200.00 right around Thanksgiving.

I have a solution that I find works with the Northrups. It's called the YouTube Channel Blocker extension. Haven't had a problem since then :)

This might be of help:

Flash Mode
Some of the flash modes are set on the camera, rather than on the flash. To set most of these modes on a Nikon Z6 II, you keep the flash button depressed and rotate the main (rear) command wheel to cycle through the modes. The modes appear in the flash frame in the top LCD panel on the camera.

To set Auto FP on a Nikon Z6 II, you need to go into this menu.

FILL FLASH
The flash fires with every shot. In modes P and A, shutter speed will automatically be set to values between 1/200 s (or 1/8000 s with Auto FP High-Speed Sync) and 1/60 s.

I'd suggest to experiment and see what happens. It will be in your best interest to know before you go out. I don't know if this applies to your Nikon but when you set a Canon in aperture priority with a flash in the hotshoe, it knows you want fill flash.
