I think if I face the truth, I am suffering from GAS. I guess I will just keep what I have and forget the full frame for now. It is hard with this isolation because I have so much time to think and dream.

Being a high megapixelpeeper with GAS, how about dreaming of a very high resolution, good size, monitor to do justice to those high MP sensors.
Can be a reality even in isolation and ease your mind off the cameras.

Look for a place that does C prints.
Ilford opened some labs a couple years ago for film and silver halide prints. Mostly B&W, but color too.

I have always thought people using film, especially B&W, should also being doing the other half of the process.
There is something special about a silver-halide print.

I, too, will be getting the 16-80mm when price point might drop, but definitely before taking another big trip. The jury was out on that lens for me originally, but have seen luscious photographs full of Fuji flavor taken with it.
I travel with a slew of Fuji lenses but usually just day trip with the 16mm f/1.4, 35mm f/1.4 and the 60mm f/2.4 in a small sling bag and the rest stay in the hotel room.
Not a fan of the bigger lenses. My 55-200 never gets used. Was thinking of the 90mm (very excellent sharpness) but kind of big. Never need more reach in the cities.
The 16-80 arguably has the best OIS of the Fuji lenses and is tripod tolerant.

The XPS driver is for printing from 16-bit work flow. Usually a Tiff file (DNG ??).
Higher quality, smoother gradation, more detail than typical 8-bit.
The regular default driver is only 8-bit.
It is rather subjective in viewing prints.
XPS is/was a Windows thing.

Thank you to all of the replies above. I am starting a portrait business, and will be using the software mostly for headshots. Now that I am being made aware of so many more possibilities, it does make it that much more difficult to choose. However, it seems I am turning to the "raw" side of life and it may be too late to turn back to the easier jpg days. I know I will need strength for this journey I am about to undertake at this post retirement stage of the game, but you guys are a great help!
Thank you to all of the replies above. I am starti... (show quote)

If doing a portrait business you will want one of the full versions.
The express versions do not have 'Sessions' which is very useful. Nor does it have the advanced color wheel and skin tones adjustments. No layers.
Warning. I do not think C1 has an upgrade path from Capture One (for Sony) 20 to Capture One Pro 20 if you ever need to (using different cameras).
Raw is not more difficult than jpg in C1. Actually easier. Not sure about Adobe which seems convoluted.
Here is comparison of Pro vs Express -

I believe C1 is still having 25% off price -

Free version? When I tried I got "try it for free", but I am sure that is only for a limited period so I didn't download it.

Did you get to this page? https://www.captureone.com/en/download-fujifilm-express
The free is Capture One Express Fujifilm, not Capture One Fujifilm.
You will have to create an account. Name, Email, create password, country, state (UK ??). No credit card or other info.
Download and license will be emailed to you.

Win 10 has a Troubleshooter. All Settings>Update and Security>Troubleshoot>Keyboard.
Also uninstall/reinstall or update drivers. All Settings>Bluetooth & other devices>Devices and printers (right side colored)>right click keyboard>Keyboard settings>Hardware>Properties>Change settings>Driver
or when you open Devices and printers go to top bar click Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager (under Devices and Printers).
Long way around without keyboard but can be done with just a mouse.
There is an On-Screen keyboard available in Settings.

Are there any advantages or disadvantages to getting a UV vs Clear high quality filter. I have heard that there were benefits using UV's with film cameras, but not so much digitals.
Thanks for your insight.
Ritz

"While the lack of a UV coating on the filters could possibly impact image quality when attached to lenses used with film cameras, where the filters are attached to lenses used with digital cameras, the image quality would not be affected because the CMOS sensors on Canon DSLR cameras are not sensitive to UV rays." - Canon service bulletin.
Fujifilm has also stated UV filter not needed.

Ten years ago I was confronted when trying out a brand new camcorder in a small park where I was well known by the park counselors and had coached many a Little League team. I stopped filming and went home and did a little research.
It is not the 'creep' in the park with a camera parents should be concerned about. It is the family member, a friend, an acquaintance right in the home. Some 90+% of abuse is right there where it is least expected.

PhotoDirector is basically a Lightroom clone, but does somethings LR doesn't. Excellent place to start your editing experience.
Does Layers, content aware removal, etc. 7 is a couple years old, now at 11. CyberLink has been putting a lot of energy into it lately. CyberLink is a big video software outfit. Just got email today for new video tutorials.
Upgrades can be really inexpensive when on sale. Has a ton of pre- sets/ styles.
The printing module is nice and simple. Has easy way to add signature.
Try it for sure, you will like it.
