Focus either center small point if possible-or hand held as they may be moving-depends on the distance-light seems overcast which makes it hard also. Nice shots -also what mm lens makes a difference-so many factors! Distance makes it difficult as well and how much cropping you had to do. The aps. boost also crops more added on to the 2x boost maybe too much.
I prefer the original and I feel the window shows where the light is from which also adds to the back ground esp. in the 1st. shot-nice capture!
We did the Mission trip a few years ago-would recommend it-some of the missions are still in use and we quietly observed the services at Easter. One of the missions is part of the National park system and has a working small mill within it. Very historic place to visit! You drive about 7 miles..
Is this the way you caught the Geese or is it creative management-it's so clean. Either way it's beautiful!
You have what we call-an artists Eye-pursue it!
really outstanding photos-best i have seen of wild turkeys-
Yes electronic viewfinders are weak compared to pentaprism ones for me-DSLRs are sweet although there is the weight factor-I find the camera sling is slick for walking with a DSLR for shorter hikes also-I have a olympus OMd5 and all the lenses but keep going back to my d7200 or d3400 or d600.
I reason DSLR-pick it up get the lightest model put a light lens on-and look through the viewfinder-cameras off and you see through the lens-thats the difference for me -turn it on and shoot 3 shots before the mirrorless even focuses.I have shake and it makes speed important-refocus is also much quicker for me with the DSLR. I feel the depth of field is better in general with the DSLR.Am I biased? Yes I am!
Out of Africa-been there-most natural Zoo I've seen-tried to go in January it was closed. I remember seeing 2 lions laying on a Mesa as they viewed the plateau below-felt as if we were in Africa. You must go only 90 miles from phoenix......see it, and wear your hiking shoes.
Good show -great captures!
3-But best shots of Red Cardinal I've seen red is hard because little contrast to work with-nice shots!
I meant pentaprism viewers Mea Culpa beg forgiveness-76 years forgetting proper terms and having senior moments!
Overall my G1x Canon draws the most views on Flicker of all my cameras same sensor as the rebel series and a great processor -under 300.00 now and easy to carry and a simple menu system it's about as tech as I need really but still love my d7200 for a lot of reasons-hand shake is working on my 76 year old hands though. Time marches on!
I cannot think of the term I like SLRs with prismatic viewers the best - cancel the optical phrase-
