Always enjoy your photography. Great work
Review earlier post today about LR 5
Took all advice. Everything back up and running. Installed LR5, seems to work fine.
There are sure some outstanding video courses for LR4. Enjoying going thru them even thought it will take hours.
Again thanks to all for you interest and help in solving my LR problem.
The problem is in a smaller catalog so I am almost finished transferring the images the the default catalog and backing it up on a regular interval.
Thanks for all the help.
Great advice. I am in process of doing all of the above. The video training course will take a few days as it is extremely detailed.
Thanks to all.
I do that how do I restore the catalog?
Mike
Switched catalogs and am able to import as normal. Somehow the old catalog got corrupted. Lots of work ahead but at least progress.
Thanks to all for helping.

How would that happen I didn't change anything? Lots of space on hard-drive.
I just tried to import a new files from my camera same result.
These are all new problems that I have never seen before.
LR5 is arriving tomorrow. I think I will wait and see if that doesn't solve the problem.
Thanks to all.
I have the originals on CD. I was able to copy them into Aperture with no problems.
In LR5 a new message comes up "some import operations were not performed, then the original message.
Reinstalled program still the same.
WOW what a mess.
I am trying to move files from a CD to LR4 and I get "could not move a file to the requested location (79).
I was working with these files in LR4 and accidentally deleted them.
When I go back to the original CD I get the above message even though all the pictures show up and are checked.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Thanks, I have been all over EBay no luck.
