Everyone seems to believe that because it is not headline news, that we are doing nothing about potential hacking. If the Russians have hacked, or are hacking, rest assured we're doing stuff about it. Just not publicly.

Which ones do you think should be allowed to vote?

Anyone over 21, who is a citizen, not a felon, etc.

Not absurd, not trivial, and certainly not misleading--and certainly within the U. S. Constitution.

WHAT????? This is our country, we have an interest in *everyone* voting, why would we want another country to try to even influence our voting slightly? Voting is a duty, not a personal choice.

Really? Everyone? I don't want everyone to vote.

Are you finished making yourself look silly?

Silly? Because you got caught playing word games in an attempt to make a point?
No, you should be embarrassed, though, to be so ignorant of the many meanings of the word agenda.
But, bless your heart.

What is the correct reading, Kombi? Does Congress usually allow it?

Yes, Congress usually allows it as a president's outside income is usually placed in a blind trust. It stretches logic to think that the constitution envisioned going into a private trust to see if the beneficiary was receiving income imputed to foreign powers. It is why gifts given to presidents are treated as gifts to the state, and the president turns them over to the department of whatever.
Suppose, hypothetically speaking, that the Sultan of Oman bought one million copies of "Dreams of my Father." Would the income from that transaction involve that constitutional clause? I doubt it. While money is fungible, its sources can be deduced.
Suggesting that a diplomat staying at a hotel owned by Trump would be a high crime or misdemeanor is trivial.

Article I, Section 9, Clause 8 of the constitution states that no American officeholder shall, “without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.”

Absurd and trivial misreading of the clause. There is no way this applies, and there is no way any House would bring impeachment over it.

How would one go about with a do-over vote? The Constitution specifies timelines, and absent an amendment, there is no way to do a re-vote.
