Hi everyone, it has been a long winter here in Wisconsin.
But on the sunny side I got some shots of Pileated woodpeckers together. We feed birds year round, and once in a great while we would get a glimps of one of these big guys. But never to get a good picture. By the time I would get the camera and get back to the window puff it was gone. Well this is a-ha year with them.
So I just thought I would share some of them. Hope you enjoy!

And this shot I got Friday afternoon, in the middle of one more of our snow storms.

Thanks to the suggestions of a few UHH I made my way down to Hoboken by way of the Path train and enjoyed the fireworks. Found a little park down off 10th, set up the camera and enjoyed the show. Here are just a few of the shots I captured. In style, NY had two barges shooting off fireworks simultaneously. My vantage point captured both displays.
I was close and the fireworks so bright I only used 4'seconds shutter speed to keep from blowing the photos out. Shutter speed priority 4 seconds ISO100 F/14

fstop22,
Oh my goodness. I have never seen such beautiful fireworks. You are so luck to see that. We don't have anything like that for fireworks here. Small town, low budget if you know what I mean. Thanks for sharing your wonderful shots.

Very nice!!! You can crop it tighter, the rule of 2/3's doesn't aply to the Moon. It will make it biger and show more details.:)

Thanks Erv, I was thinking of that. But did not want to loose the clouds. Glad you like them.

Wow, Sherry, these are outstanding! They couldn't be any more beautiful!

Thanks sailorsmom, It is so hard to get any work done with all the birds that come here. I just want to take their pictures. I get so excited, and my hubby is no help. He will come home and look out the wind and say stuff like. Oh my goodness look what is out there right now! Or grab our camera the Scarlet it back! That bird just makes my heart race to see it.
All ways looking to see if someone new it out there.
