Hi Judy,
I thought you might like to see my pic of an old English 16th century medieval tithe barn it is 170 ft long and has 50,000 roof tiles, it is the longest barn of it's type in East Sussex.
No flash was used and it was taken at f 7.1 IS0 200
The pair of owls was taken with a Nikon Coolpix 10 Megapixels compact camera. The other owl with a Canon EOS 450D camera with a Sigma 18-200 Lense.
These pictures were taken at Bentley Wildfowl in East Sussex.

Yes you can they are all furnished inside as they would have been in their time and with fires alight in winter. At christmas they are also decorated as they would have been. It is very much a working museum and is quite often used for filming and for hisotric T.V programes. On special event days the Tudor kitchens are used and you can sample foods from the era. All thatching for the buildings is grown and harvested on site and so much more i could go on for ever as i love the place and go as often as i can.
All of the houses i have shown were threatened with destruction. They were carefully dismantled, conserved and rebuilt to their original form and are now all at the Weald and Downland open air museum Singleton West Sussex. There are over fifty buildings set in 50 acres of land.
