Lightroom is primarily a RAW converter and file management system and it does this very well. Elements is a slimmed down version of Photoshop, which is primarily an image editing tool. Mind you, as time has gone on, the two have grown closer and there is a degree of overlap.
Personally, I download my images into Lightroom, sort them, tweak them and then export them as either TIFFs or JPEGs into photoshop for further work.
But thats just me...

That would be good. Theres some excellent photography venues here on the Gower.

This is a famous Welsh storm beach much favoured by surfers in the UK. Your comments and critique are most welcomed
Its two SS's and one L.
I'll pm you a little reminder of your holidays. Its 15 minutes from me

I like the second and fourth images best. Number four could respond well to a little HDR tone mapping. I wish I had the autumn colours you have, it creates so many opportunities
Very nice

I love the colours you' captured here. I've been to PA a few times in the past to visit a friend in Erie but it was usually around Christmas and the trees were always bare. I love the covered bridge.

Thank you for the warm welcomes.I look forward to the forthcoming banter on the forums

Thank you all very much for your feedback. It is really appreciated

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the amazing world of photography!
Study hard on your course and try hard to master your camera. Read the manual over and over again. Take lots of photographs - it costs nothing, and then really analyze the images you have produced. Try to understand why they turned out the way they did.
But most of all, enjoy this journey; its going to amaze you
F
I really like the mono image. Its quite retro and compliments the model really well

Hello Josh,
On the bridge shot, theres a speck of dust evident, either on your sensor or on the lens. Also, it looks to me like the effects have been overdone. The reflections are really nice and I like the composition.
As a previous comment has indicated, you need to address the halo effect that HDR creates when its overdone. In image 2 I would clone out the cranes on the right hand side.
Keep snapping and working to develop your skills. HDR is great when done well
F
Its a truely excellent image, well done. The light changes so quickly at this time of day and youve done a great job of capturing this scene for all to see
F
I like this image. The angle is excellent and I feel it gives an insight into the subjects personality. Nice shot

Welcome Rose, I joined this site today as well. Happy snapping

I took a trip to Venice last year for the Carnivale celebrations. This is one of my night shots that I've put through HDR. Shame about the boat with the blue tarpaulin. Your opinions would be welcomed.
