Another reason I like the bridge cameras. One lens, on all the time, 24 mm to 600 mm on the present one. Question on IQ of images? Check out photos by Gene51.
It has an almost MOSAIC quality about it......lovely catch.
That small area has been the subject in many of my clicks over the years. There had been a well-weathered log there, but it has gone beneath the surface. The lily pads remain the same.
Great image of the duck!!!! But the colors of the background just seem over saturated to me, almost like over cooked HDR.
No HDR. This is directly behind me at my work station at my daughters. I just PP until it looks as close to what is there as I can. I guess you just have to be there to appreciate it.
Nice shot, too. I know some pp software does not give you the ability to "burn" or "dodge" to lighten the shadow area on the duck. But Photoshop will.
I could take out all the shadow, but the result was not natural. It started out black and after I removed all shadow I added it back in until to looked much more natural, to me.
Thank you, numbushopper. I caught it just before it took wing. I was in burst mode, but it had passed over the lily pads and the water makes a pretty boring background.
